Parkland Father Tells MSNBC — ‘Part Of The Problem Is The Media’ For Pushing Gun Control Narrative

Andrew Pollack, father of a Meadow Pollack, a student killed in the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School challenged the prevalent media narrative on MSNBC Monday.

MSNBC’s Chris Jansing asked, “You’ve said, also, that gun control laws are not achievable right now. You’ve been advocating, correct me if I’m wrong, a school safety first program. What makes sense to you from where you sit?”

“Correct,” he said.

“Well, part of the problem is the media, like before you got on you started talking about the AR bill and it takes away from the focus of what’s important to me and I think a majority of Americans. They want to just know their kids are safe.”

“So every time the media starts talking about gun control, it takes away from our objective of making our schools safe, which is achievable right now it we come together. If the media stops saying gun control and instead of using the word gun control put in there school safety, it will be an easy task for us to get together and make it happen.

the dems over reached themselves yet again, and most of the public has caught on to their scheme, again. It happens after almost every mass shooting (as long as it’s not an Islamic shooting).

They re-started this push for gun control back in 1962.

Do you mean GCA 68? I was in England in ‘61-’63 so maybe I missed something?

And yet he’s given no moral authority to be the real voice of this tragedy.

THIS. THIS they push through, but campus carry/etc.? Nope, always killed by the (R)N(C), whom have the majority.

Yep. And, should he sign it, I think many will find some reason to vote for another (or not at all) instead of his illegal-loving @ss.

Boy, ‘18 is going to be REAL...interesting. I haven’t found ONE area worth the lever pull.

What drives me crazy is 0 talk of increased sentences for gun crimes. IF POTUS starts talking about that the Dems will drop “gun control” faster than they did DACA.

If a killer broke into CNN or MSNBC and murdered 17 people the BIGS running those places would be on the phone with their 'security people' within an hour ... assessing ways to make the place safer.

They would NOT for a second think of 'gun control' as a first solution. They would protect their workers.

Try walking into your local 'media center' - and you'll confront armed security. These folks damn sure know how to protect themselves and their workplace... and it 'ain't' with calls for gun control.

The echo of a gunfire will still be heard when the demodummies start screaming more gun control. It happens every and any time someone gets shot. Well, I ask what are the liberals doing to control those same guns going off in Chicago be it every minute, hour, day, week, month or year? One of the tightest gun control agendas in the country and Chicago liberals have not resolved the problem. Everyone can plainly see that it is the PEOPLE, NOT THE GUNS. Guns can lay dormant for years, fully loaded and ready but NEVER SHOOT SOMEONE.

Don't forget about the open carry bill too. That was also killed by the Repubs. That was supposed to be all but guaranteed to pass and be signed by Scott. Meanwhile, Scott is pretty much pissing away his chances for the Senate.

1962 was when Thomas J Dodd and Emanuel Cellar first called for registration of Handguns Only. “Rifles and shotguns will not be affected.”
1964 came the demand to register all guns.
1968 came the demand to ban small foreign pistols and 5 shot bolt action army surplus rifles.
1972 the demand to ban small American made handguns.
1976 the demand to ban all handguns.
1986 first calls to ban semi-auto rifles.

The problem is that leftists don't care if kids or schools are safe. They just want decent Americans disarmed so they have a chance to force us to obey their commands.
