NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Nashville Mayor Megan Barry is expected to resign later this morning, sources tell NewsChannel 5.
It follows several days of negotiations between Barry's legal team and District Attorney Glenn Funk. Those negotiations had apparently focused on whether Funk would agree not to prosecute Barry in exchange for her resignation.

She’s resigning? Gee, I thought being an elected Democrat meant affairs were one of the perks of office (for Dems. Repubs are hounded from office...).
Technically mayoral candidates in Nashville do not run with a party affiliation.
But yeah, she’s a HUGE Democrat. A California lefty.

The new Mayor will be David Briley and the Vice Mayor will be Sheri Weiner.
Ms. Weiner was one of the Congresswomen on the committee investigating Nashville Mayor Megan Barry.
As you know, Megan Barry scandal involved a weiner.
Flashback, 30 years ago, and Nashville had a Mayor, named Bill Boner.

David Briley’s grandfather was the first mayor of Nashville’s new “metropolitan” government in the 1960s.
So, they’re letting her off the hook for ‘stepping down’...w/ all perks/bennies intact.
