Neither does the republican party.
As Voldemort said, There is no good and evil, there is only power and those too weak to seek it.
I’m with you GOPJ, I am with you.
We know how it is done. And we know who is doing the vast majority of it. Perhaps ALL of it.
I have to disagree on a sentiment that the Republicans are equally as disgraceful as the Democrats on this (if that is indeed your sentiment)
Where we likely DO agree is that the craven behavior of Republicans ENCOURAGES the Left to do the things they do.
If they stood up and demanded laws would be enforced (Duh!) we wouldn’t be in this pickle.
But they don’t. For a variety of reasons:
They don’t want to be called racist or other bad names.
Some of them are on the gravy train too, and don’t want to rock the boat.
Disgusting.
The witch that wrote that series of books probably read Alinsky's works too, and is a big fan of them, because that statement is ALL Alinsky.
In the case of this article, the question of asking citizenship on a census makes absolute and perfect
Not equal, but a close second.
The results of their cravenness are virtually indistinguishable from what the democrats are boldly doing.
The biggest difference is a smaller fire under the frog pot.
Well, I kind of agree there. Personally, I was buying time for someone...anyone.
Thanks to Trump, that paid off. We are a few feet further from the edge of the cliff than we might have otherwise been.
I’m hopeful that we will turn away from the precipice.
Kalifornia will end up with two reps. Onoz!!!!
What you noted is probably the best fact finding and truth finding we have available for the critical issues exploding each day.
“I am often guilty of taking shortcuts to determine good from bad, friend from enemy, and right from wrong due to the fire hose stream of information we are often subjected to. I cannot read or watch every single thing out there on the Internet, but I do accept the responsibility for my own knowledge about events since I have stopped watching/listening/reading the media angle on things.”
In the case of this article, the question of asking citizenship on a census makes absolute and perfect sense to me, so I dismiss the arguments against it. When I see people like Eric Holder on an issue like this, I utilize a shorthand process to validate. (Basically, if he is for it, I am against it).
Same rule if ABCNNBCBS/Compost/New York Slimes is against the latest proposal by President Trump, we should probably support it. If the above are for any issue, we should probably be against it.
All you said is true.
At some point in the past, what you wrote could have been summarized by one word: “commonsense”.
In the past, if someone got up on a stump, said they wanted to destroy the country, wanted to bring a bunch of hardened criminals, perverts, and murderers into a town, or said they believed laws were for other people and he intended to break those laws, when he got down off that stump, he wasn’t going to get people to shake his hand and discuss issues with him.
People would avoid him if he was lucky, and he could expect to be run out of town on a rail. That is how they would have dealt with someone like Eric Holder regardless of the color of his skin.
And if one of Holder’s acquaintances came up to talk about issues with people, if they knew he was with “that other guy”, he might or might not be speaking sensibly about things, and they would avoid him too.
Because it used to be that you were allowed to judge people by the company they kept. It was a smart thing to do.
Now, if you judge or shame anyone at all, that is considered to be close minded.
Crazy.
My parents/grandparents, aunts/uncles and older cousins had similar advice:
1. Never hang around or talk to criminals or crazy people.
2. Never listen to what criminals or crazy people tell other people to do.
THAT is good advice, FRiend!
