Trump is the perfect President for America. He has reached a position where he acts as an embodiment for our nation, the hopes, dream, fears and aspirations of ordinary Americans are represented in one man.

Term limits for the President were a con forced through by the Dummycrats who wanted to protect FDR being the longest serving President for ever.

If Trump wants to run in 2024we should give serious consideration to it. We will never find a more perfect and wonderful President for this age

Getting Pence might be like getting Eisenhower. Now that might be the time.

I agree with your assessment of Trump. He will turn out to be, I suspect, the greatest president of my lifetime. But I draw the line at a third term. I am betting he would, as well.

Look at who proposed that Amendment and pushed it through. It was Republicans, who feared a repeat of Roosevelt, since the Democratic coalition seemed at the time like it would be unbeatable for the foreseeable future.

No, it was the GOP -- basically seeking posthumous revenge on FDR. The 22nd Amendment was approved by Congress in 1947, when the Republicans had the majority in both the House and the Senate. I don't know the partisan breakdown of the vote but to get the 2/3 it must have had a lot of Republican support.
