Black folk that get ahead wall themselves off from other black folk (MUI Wandakia or whatever is walled of from Africa).
Well, we saw “Death Wish” yesterday. Beautiful film, lots of action, and A GREAT MESSAGE.
Here’s the problem I have with all of the statements that this movie is empowering blacks and a positive force for African Americans.
The one American in the movie is evil.
The rest are based on a traditional African tribal society where 5 tribes have more or less united under a common king to prevent constant warfare with one being the, no pun intended, black sheep of the kingdom.
They only thing that makes them advanced, civilized and technologically adept is the existence of an exclusive element that is not present anywhere else in the world. So the whole basis fo the film is fictional.
Are blacks saying that the only way to portray their race positive is by using a fictional source of wealth and a fictional country?
I would find that highly insulting to my heritage, existence and family background.
Seriously, what was offensive about that message?
I just don’t see it.

That crime doesn’t pay unless you have Clinton Foundation backing.
All the murders in the movie. That is the good message for the young people in the USA.
The message is pretty simple. She is not yet blind because she was able to see the movie. Unless they were sent a copy on DVD, she had to be able to get to a theatre so she still has mobility. She is still with Bill, at least for how ever agonizing minutes this movie lasts.
Saw BP this weekend. It was a great film. But the plot line and story was the same as lion king.
