What Hillary Clinton did after seeing ‘Black Panther’ is offending black Americans
bizpacreview ^ | March 4, 2018 | Tom Tillison

It appears that Hillary Clinton just doesn’t know when to leave well enough alone… or old habits do indeed die hard.

The failed 2016 Democratic presidential nominee took in a movie on Saturday with dear husband Bill Clinton, and turned to social media afterwards to engage in some old fashioned pandering.

(Someone should remind Hills that she’s no longer running for office.)

“Saw Black Panther with Bill this afternoon & loved it. Beautiful film, lots of action, and a great message. Don’t miss it!” she tweeted.

The film “Black Panther” is seen as a groundbreaking celebration of black culture and many black people are moved by the movie, as well they should be. It has been described as “a revolutionary step forward for black superheroes” by Rolling Stone.

All of which explains Clinton’s eagerness to go public with her praise.

But given the circumstances — and her shameful claim on the campaign trail that she carries hot sauce around in her purse — it’s understandable if black Americans feel insulted over Clinton using the movie to score political points.

That sentiment was captured in a single tweet.

“Glad you enjoyed the film. But your days of using Black culture as a means of keeping us enslaved are over,” tweeted Temia Brinson, of Rejoice Magazine.

Thanks for the tip Hillary.

Have you seen 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi yet?

Lots of action, and a great message. Take Bill too.

What was the message, Hillary? https://t.co/62CgTrPh8q

Well, remember when Bill Clinton served up fried chicken to black people in Kentucky?

Bill Clinton was long out of office when that happened, so it didn't hurt him.

Plus, fried chicken was on the menu, so he served it, along with other entrees.

Some Internet outlets picked up on it, but the mainstream media left the story alone. They didn't make the fried chicken connection.

It wasn't like Clinton explicitly associated Black people and fried chicken, though given how the mainstream media felt about Bill Clinton and how much he played up the country boy angle, it's possible that he could have gotten away with it even if he had.

Tabasco Tale......

I am a great fan of the author W.E. B. Griffin. He included General McInerney who was commandant of the Marine Corps as a character in some of his books. The General who is a real person is from Avery Island and his family makes Tabasco

Knowing this, while in the area, we visited the island. It is separated from the mainland by a very short and narrow bridge. There is a toll to cross.

The McInerny family has the Tabasco cooking facility on the island. During the tour you learn of all the various types of Tabasco including some very small bottles included in military rations.

At the end of the tour, you end up in a big store that sells all the various tabasco and every kind of tabasco product you can imagine. T shirts, aprons, coffee mugs, clocks and on and on.

Outside they have a food truck where you can buy jambalaya and file gumbo that is to die for.

At some point, while working on the village that houses Tabasco employees and pepper farm hands, salt was discovered. That is the whole place sits on a humongous salt deposit. They began to mine and sell the salt.

At some point in the salt mining operation, they discovered that under the salt, there was an ocean of crude oil. They drilled for and then extracted oil.

The island is a place of true natural beauty with live oaks and spanish moss. Tourists came. They established a kind of theme park for which admittance is charged.

It is all owned and operated by the family. It is just an island to look at it but in reality it is a gold mine

What did Billy Graham teach Bubba Clinton?

To carry a large well used bible on the church steps.

Yeah, but Billy Boy was campaigning on behalf of Cankles.

That incident just helped to solidify the Clintons as panderers to the 10th degree.

Billy with the fried chicken and Cankles with the hot sauce.

McInerney Tabasco, the authentic original thing, is a great sauce for cooking. It makes great jambalaya and gumbo as you note. It too has it’s place. Just not on the table as a condiment, in my opinion.

That piece of $hit needs to drop out of public life.

Yes, about a six foot drop, casket optional. She can take her husband with her.

The film “Black Panther” is seen as a groundbreaking celebration of black culture

I musta missed the "Superman" or "Wonder Woman" as an celebration of Ayran culture

Gad, it was fiction by a Jewish comic book artist.

What if Superman grew up in Germany, instead of America.

“Yeah? What is the message?”

That crime doesn’t pay unless you have Clinton Foundation backing.

All the murders in the movie. That is the good message for the young people in the USA.

Sounds similar all those TV ads with all the blacks being the successful and smart people and having nothing to do with reality. Just an exercise in gaslighting.

No way would I go to this movie simply based upon the racist premise in the synopsis.

I with ya.

My brother and I went to see "An Army of 12" and had a good time, even though the book it's based on went though the "Hollywood Treatment" (lots of extraneous material at the expense of the real)

"BP" was doing a brisk business with the expected subgroup

(btw; saw my first "unisex" bathroom here in Tennessee Conservative country, joked with my brother"That's a bathroom you won't see me in. We both laughed)

The message is pretty simple. She is not yet blind because she was able to see the movie. Unless they were sent a copy on DVD, she had to be able to get to a theatre so she still has mobility. She is still with Bill, at least for how ever agonizing minutes this movie lasts.
