Enough holidays already. Take back MLK day and give back separate days for Washington and Lincoln. Then stop it.

I wouldn’t mind if he and his wife went off on a loooong holiday.
No! Government employees already have too many days off. On the other hand, the more time off they get, the less damage they can do to the country. I’d like to change my answer.
Nice sentiment, but Billy Graham would not want it. He would want people to put that energy into bringing the gospel to people—not in big tents, but in grocery store checkout lines.
Besides, Sunday is Billy Graham day because its the Lord’s Day and Graham was a servant of his Lord.
Though perhaps well-intended, even Graham himself most likely would disapprove this idea.
Combine it with MLK day and call it Religious Leaders Day.

That’s how we lost Washington’s Birthday. I liked to celebrate that when I was little as it was also my grand dad’s birthday.
A federal holiday celebrating The Lightbringer’s Birth will have to come first.
No. We don’t need more holidays, and I don’t believe we have any holidays based on religious figures except for Christ - Christmas and Easter. I doubt Reverend Graham would want to be added to that list.
Couldn’t agree more. Kill MLK, kill “President’s Day,” and restore Washington’s Birthday and Lincoln’s Birthday. We as a nation have lost so much by removing Washington and Lincoln from the public mind.

In fact, it’s a good time to eliminate MLK day and go back to observing George Washington’s birthday.
Why does MLK rate a national holiday and George Washington doesn’t?

He also said that one of the greatest things about the famed evangelist was his humility, which didn’t fade even as his following grew.
“When he spoke about humbleness, he was a humble man,” Dagher said, explaining that Graham embodied the example he hoped to set. “His greatness, really, was his humility.’’
Billy Graham would not want a national holiday with his name on it. I like your comment about Sunday being ‘Billy Graham Day’ because its the Lord’s Day and Graham was a servant of his Lord. BG would certainly agree that it is the Lord’s Day.
