I guess the Kurds he was working with did not think they’d get him treated at a Syrian hospital run by Assad’s people. And, the Kurds as part of Iraq have plenty of connections there.

How would he spend two more years at West Point and then go job hunting? Wouldn’t the Army have a job for him?
Under what circumstances do you just drop out of West Point? Last I read, years ago, you had to pay them back for the time you’d spent there either with money or by serving in the enlisted ranks. You didn’t normally get to just drop out and leave.

How do you get into West Point, do two years, but dropout because you’d have to go “job hunting” when you get out? I thought everyone who graduates from a service academy iscommissioned a 2nd lieutenant and be required to serve their country for four(?) years—and knew that going in?

It is logical to conclude you might be trolling for Erdogan, as your claim that the man in the article is a “leftist” is as “factual” as Erdogan’s claim that the Kurds in Afrin have been attacking Turkey - which seems to be a secret to the entire rest of the world, including our own forces in the field there.
