KUWAIT CITY: Dressed in a traditional white Gulf headdress and with two red crosses embroidered on his black clerical robe, Kuwaits first homegrown priest cuts a unique figure in the predominantly Muslim emirate.
Father Emmanuel Benjamin Jacob Gharib, 68, celebrates both the Bible and Gulf Arab culture with his Christian congregation in Kuwait City.
In an interview with AFP ahead of the 20th anniversary of his ordination, he stressed the level of acceptance he has felt from fellow Kuwaitis.

A bit odd that the article uses the terms "priest" and "liturgy": as if Evangelicals had a liturgical priesthood. I wonder if this is some fusion between the Assyrian Church of the East (which is hierarchical and liturgical) and American-mission-planted Evangelicalism?
Or maybe the reporter just doesn't understand the different denominational distinctives.
And, those are not two red crosses, they’re one stole. (They never get religious stuff right.)
One would think those employed by AFP would have some insight into the vestments etc since it is a rewrite released by them
