Recently, Lauren Southern highlighted the perilous plight of white South Africans, who—gasp—are being discriminated against ... this, in the very country known throughout the world for its racial tolerance!
In a seven-minute documentary, this tone-deaf “alt-right” propagandist ruminates on the travails of white South Africans who are “going through an intense crisis” (complete with sad music in the background) in the very same country where their people colonized native South Africans into a brutal racial caste system beginning in the 1940s. Southern says that these whites are allegedly being displaced (all 60 of them, in this case) and have to live in “white settlement camps” on the outskirts of town because the nasty African National Congress-led government won’t help them.

The allegation is that the population was scanty. And that might actually be true. South Africa is about as far south of the equator as El Paso is north — a subtropical clime. The native population preferred more tropical climes.

And if Whites hadn’t come in and tried to develop it, the Indians, Persians, or Chinese would have done so.

There were doubtless better ways to do it. But to have populations that just won’t mix while only one is governing the land, is a recipe for instability.

Exactly right. There are some well educated blacks who have the country’s intrests at heart, but most want to make a buck to live well, just like all of us here in the US.
This bodes ill for South Africa. Are you aware that during at least the time I lived there in the late 1990’s, gangs of South African black kids had banded together because mostly they were orphans from the huge numbers of black adults who were ill and/or dying from AIDS. Together they could kill whites and rob them and get food. They did that.
I think the capacity to think or imagine consequences is lacking in many South African blacks. The whites have made a huge contribution to the success of SA. Now it is time for the whites to leave it to the blacks...there is nothing to be gained from dying there. Let them do the best they can but let us NOT RESCUE the country after whites are gone.
