President Donald Trump set a deadline of March 5 for Congress to address the fate of hundreds of thousands of people brought to the U.S. illegally as children, but the Supreme Court just gave everyone more time.
On Monday, the nations highest court decided not hear arguments in a California case that upended the Trump-imposed deadline, meaning the nearly 700,000 recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, program can continue to renew their applications while the case works its way through the legal system.
White House spokesman Raj Shah said Monday that the program is clearly unlawful and the judges decision to reinstate the program is a usupation of legislative authority.

What are these judges thinking?!
Well, what if Trump doesn’t “end” the program, but follows Obama’s program to the letter? Didn’t Obama, a/k/a the Black Jesus, institute the program with an executive order which had an expiration date? Just enforce what Obama created.
Oops, it just expired, haha.
They can “try” to renew but who’s to say they will just not renew the applications...
Or just issue another executive order undoing the other executive order and end the program right now. Any president can make an executive order after all... and, apparently, it has to be enforced.
institute the program with an executive order which had an expiration date?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
No.
But it was never legal anyway.
What exactly do these “judges” do all day? They seem to postpone everything. At any rate, I find the Supreme Court as rather useless as Congress.
Soooo... it’s executive privilege to create it, but not executive privilege to dissolve it.
Sure.
The court order says the government has to continue to accept applications. It doesn’t say the government has to approve them.
The death of the Republic is painful.
Just rescind DACA by EO. The courts don’t have a Marine Barracks 8th & I. Screw them.
The Supreme Court just committed an unlawful act.
Maybe we’re not understanding each other.
I thought that Obama and DHS set an expiration date on the original program. So, wouldn’t Trump be following Obama rather than reversing him if he just observed the expiration date?
How does any Court reach into that loop?
Yes, DACA has until March 5 of this year! oops, sorry, go home!
No it did not have an expiration date.
I really don’t think you want to see life after this Republic!
Yes, it DOES have an expiration date, March 5, 2018.
According to Levin, Dr. Williams, and others, we are not a republic anymore....
The SCOTUS very seldom hears appeals that bypass lower courts, which is what the Trump Administration was asking for. They didn’t make any ruling on whether DACA was legal or not, they just said the case would have to be heard by a lower court.
The liberal media are trying to portray this as the SCOTUS ruling against Trump on DACA, in fact it was a procedural ruling based on the fact the case hadn’t made it’s way through the lower courts first.
Even if it was lawful, deferred does NOT mean forever.
There was no expiration date.
Renewals could be obtained endlessly.
The March 5 date was set by Trump to give time for Congress to act to make it legal.
He should have just ended it January 21st last year.
The Kenyanesian Usurper himself said he could not make illegal aliens legal.
