It was obvious from the start that he had zero interest whatsoever in the "duties" of the office and actually serving the people of Texas, and only ran for the job so he could enhance his resume down the road and use it as a "stepping stone" for a major political race in the future.

Now, I hate to admit it, but Ray LaThug's son actually figured out he needed to pretend to be a good little Republican official and establish a "reliable conservative record" for a few terms UNTIL he becomes an entrenched incumbent and isn't in danger of a primary challenge.

On the flip side, Pee Bush wasn't in office for five seconds before he decided to go AWOL on his electorate and leave the state to campaign for daddy, all while still collecting a taxpayer funded government salary for doing nothing. Sorry Pee, voters notice that sort of thing.

Good riddance to bad rubbish. Hope he loses the primary in a blowout.

Former Land Commish Larry Patterson (who lost the primary for LT Governor in 2014) is running against Bush, as are a couple nobodies. Patterson appears to have ties to the Paultard wing of the party but still has my support over Jr. Dauphin.
