British police say they are responding to a "major incident" in Leicester, England, following reports of an explosion. Police are advising residents to avoid the area.
"All emergency services are currently dealing with this," police said, adding that Carlisle Street and part of Hinckley Road have been closed.
Officials at the scene said they're conducting a search and rescue operation, BBC News reports. A police spokesperson said six fire engines were responding to the incident.
Leicester is located 177 kilometers, about 110 miles, north of London.
Video footage from the scene showed rubble on the street and smoke and flames still pouring from a building.

It was a Polish bakery. Probably just a gas line or a gas tank.

That’s what I was wondering.
It looks like some massive pieces of concrete were blown out of the walls.
This was a powerful explosion.

I lived in the UK for a few years a while back. At least in the city I lived, there was no gas, only electricity.
Hmmm, of course we all know what we also suspect.

Hopefully no AR-15 rifles were used.
If any large buildings are totally demolished, that is a sure sign they were shot with an AR-15.
