South Florida law enforcement officers are sounding off after the news broke that Deputy Scot Peterson along with three others never went after the gunman who killed 17 at Marjory Stoneman Douglas.
On Thursday, Broward Sheriff Scott Israel announced that Peterson, 54, resigned after an investigation revealed that Peterson, a school resource officer who Israel said was supposed to protect the school, never entered the building while it was under attack by gunman Nikolas Cruz.
Law enforcement officers, many from the Broward Sheriff’s Office, speaking out on online forums frequented by officers, are angry at not only the deputy, but the sheriff, and have posted their thoughts anonymously.

In the comment section at the bottom, a Coral Springs Talk moderator writes: "Please contact [email address] for the source of quotes. I can assure you these were written by law enforcement officers and not a resident."
The last straw for most Americans is when poor excuse for a Sheriff, Israel of Broward County, called out NRA representative Lash on the CNN town forum, when Isreal actually knew he had failed to protect those children, making the issue about guns instead of protection, trying to save hgis own sick ass.
In doing so, liberal flunkie Israel and the Broward County Sheriff’s department have assured that there will be no protection for children.
Remember one thing: Bullets of death are not within the purview of political correctness. And to protect against them requires a non politically correct view. CNN and dummies like Israel apparently are not intelligent enough to understand this fact. Cling to your ideology liberals! And many mnore will die.

I think you missed the point of the article.
The article itself is a collection of comments made by south Florida cops and subsequently gathered and published by “Coral Springs Talk.” Much of it is unflattering to the BSO personnell, and there are some bits of information in them that I hadn’t seen published or heard broadcast.
When I heard one deputy failed to go in I could believe one was a coward.
When I heard there were four I then knew it was a problem with the whole department.
If it is true the OIC gave the order establish a perimeter and not go in it is truly a departmental wide problem.

The SOP for active shooter situation has been run towards the and take the SOB as soon as possible.
If one does not have a team one goes by ones self getting rounds on target is the fastest way o stop one of these shooters.

I agree with your assessment. After the tragic law-enforcements failures at Columbine, wherein the old paradigm of isolate, contain, and establish a perimeter cost the lives of so many innocents, active-shooter protocols were rewritten at every police agency I’m aware of nationwide. The new procedure in these situations is immediately enter, engage, and eliminate the threat.
The fact that not one, but three deputies from Sherriff Israel’s agency remained outside leads me to believe we are dealing with more than just cowardice here, but a failure of policy which comes straight from the top: Israel himself and his politicized agency.

Sorry, but I don’t find this to be courageous either.
I don’t blame the individual officers, but the way liberals have forced people to keep quiet because of union pensions and people not wanting risk them. Unions and pensions are a way to control.
