New charges were filed Thursday against former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and his business partner, ratcheting up the legal pressure on them as they prepare for a trial later this year.

A new indictment has long been expected in special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s prosecution of Manafort and his right-hand man, Rick Gates, on fraud and money laundering charges. Manafort served as President Trump’s campaign chairman from June to August 2016. Gates also served as a top official on Trump’s campaign. The new indictment contains 32 counts, including tax charges.

More nothingburger crap.

Manafort didn't collude with Russia in the election. Neither did Trump. Neither did Gates. Neither did Trump Jr.

This Mueller thing is an entity that needs to be dissolved.

Bigly.

Charges have nothing to do with Russia or collusion.

A new indictment has long been expected in special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s prosecution of Manafort and his right-hand man, Rick Gates, on fraud and money laundering charges. Manafort served as President Trump’s campaign chairman...

And that, right there, is why they did this today. So they can write that sentence and make Trump look dirty to the uninformed. “Whoa, Trumps campaign manager was laundering money? He’s crooked after all!”

From the article: “The filing Thursday comes at a time of significant uncertainty in the case about when a trial might happen, or even who the defense lawyers will be. Last week, U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson criticized both sides for what she called “unacceptable delays” in a case which still doesn’t have a trial date set.”

Basically Mueller trying to justify his witch hunt by keep filing charges on low hanging fruit Manafort and Gates. Shameful.

Nothing regarding president Trump or the campaign.

Mr. President, please fire Mueller and Rosenstein. It will save the tax payers beau coup bucks.

And for the flip side ... Mueller Is Ending the Era of Impunity for Washington's Foreign Lobbyists. Link only, Bloomberg. Basically says that lobbyists have been breaking the FARA law for years with no penalty - register retroactive, and all is well.

We’re paying Mueller to use FBI FISA warrant spying to kick down doors over 3-5 year old tax charges?

When his protege and friend James Comey helped Bill Clinton to pardon Marc Rich on his last day in office?

I'm not defending Manafort and Gates at all. I just read the latest indictment and they appear to be bad actors.

It's a shame that Manafort was associated with the Trump campaign for a short time but his alleged crimes have nothing to do with Trump or the campaign. A lot of money laundering and tax evasion. If they are guilty of this, they should go away.

But they aren't the only ones. How did the Clintons exit public service hundreds of millions of dollars richer than when they went in? Last time I checked, Secretary of State made about $136K a year and when Bill was president, annual salary was around $200K a year.

That does not translate into hundreds of millions of dollars. Even adding in royalties for dopey books about Socks that Cat and cattle investments.

You are dead wrong. This will lead to Tony Podesta and the Clinton Foundation corruption.

Why would you tell him that on Twitter? He uses his full name on Twitter and it has plenty of vowels. I think you are just making that up.
