Special counsel Robert Mueller has indicted 13 Russian nationals for allegedly conspiring to sow confusion in the 2016 presidential election. The chance of extraditing any of the accused from Vladimir Putin's Russia is zero.
Some of the Russians' Keystone Cops efforts to disrupt the election favored Donald Trump (as well as Bernie Sanders). Yet Mueller's team made it clear that the Russians neither colluded with any U.S. citizens nor had any material effect on the election's outcome.
But from here on out, there will be ironies, paradoxes and unintended consequences with just about everything Mueller does.
Is it now time to prosecute foreigners for attempting to interfere with a U.S. election? If so, then surely Christopher Steele, the author of the Fusion GPS dossier, is far more culpable and vulnerable than the 13 bumbling Russians.
Steele is not a U.S. citizen. Steele colluded with Russian interests in compiling his lurid dossier about Donald Trump. Steele did not register as a foreign agent. And Steele was paid by Hillary Clinton's campaign to find dirt on political rival Trump and his campaign.
In other words, Steele's position is far worse than that of the Russians for at a variety of reasons. One, he is easily extraditable while the Russians are not. Two, his efforts really did affect the race, given that the dossier was systematically leaked to major media and served as a basis for the U.S. government to spy on American citizens. Three, unlike with the Russians, no one disputes that American citizens -- Hillary Clinton, members of the Democratic National Committee, and anti-Trump partisan Glenn Simpson and his Fusion GPS team -- colluded by paying for Steele's work.

Christopher Steele acted as an employee of the Clinton campaign. So does it matter that he is not a US citizen? It was really the Clinton campaign that was producing the Trump dossier, not Christopher Steele acting on his own.
ITEM----Intrepid investigator Mueller "uncovered" that the Russian scheme seems to have materialized at some point in 2014.

Here's the $64,000 question Mueller's indictment does not address-------
Why didn't the CIA or the NSA or the FBI pick this up?
Were Obama's PDB's falsified?
Dates are important b/c Snowden's' revelations indicate Obama's government spying apparatus began capturing all electronic data on everyone in the U.S. in 2001.
They succeeded in mastering the capture of all keystrokes, telephone calls and digital traffic by 2005.
This we know
<><>(A) that NSA traffic travels through FBI computers, and,
<><> (B) that the CIA keeps constant tabs on Russian spies in Russia....... and elsewhere.
BOOM
If the investigation was started because of a fraudulent FISA warrant, then why is the investigation still ongoing?
"Agent" is more broad than "employee," and there is likely some legal mumbo-jumbo that includes the notion of "anybody who was compensated, directly or indirectly".
Otherwise, the DEM's just dismiss the allegation with "not an employee."
This case has money laundering, source laundering, and information laundering. Conspiracy up to the sky!
These Russian “bots” are strikingly akin to “the video caused Benghazi”....
If you are predisposed to think there has to be a “there there” you keep looking. This is another brilliant piece by VDH who finishes it with the startling truth many of us have been screaming for some time -
“”If such matters are not treated in an unbiased manner, we are not a nation of equality under the law, but a banana republic masquerading as a democracy.””
The democrats will rue the day they hysterically demanded and participated in the cover-up of the collusion by their chosen candidate and the appointment of a special counsel. Every single thing he is finding is something they are far more guilty of and Americans have an innate sense of fairness - what is fair for thee is fair for me.
You cannot truly touch Manafort without touching the others around him such as Podesta, Craig, and a whole host of very connected individuals to the previous administration and Clintons. In fact, objectively looking at what Manafort is accused of, which occurred long before Trump even announced, there are lots of very connected people involved who became very wealthy. Luckily, she did not win and now their efforts to reverse the election and cover their tracks have done the exact opposite.
Trump should tell Sessions that he either starts arresting people, or he will be arrested for colludeing with Mueller/Hillary etc.
Withthe all Democrats on Muellers team this is not an investigation. It is a lynching! Any anti Trump findings could end up sparking violent riots. Mueller needs to diversify his manning if he wants his findings to be taken seriously.
it sure is.
Have looked for any evidence to point away from Mueller simply being a Democrat tool to carry/push/facilitate the medias Russian collusion narrative past the 2018 election. (Gotta get enough Democrats elected to impeach Trump.)
Aint there.

Lets add Mrs ohr to that equation
VDH nails it again. The chorus is building...
