The Koresh compound was miked the whole time. In addition to his own people confirming it, you can hear it on tape. Guys were yelling about “spread it around” while setting the first. That, and the fact that the first started at three different locations INSIDE the compound, none of which were FBI entry or assault points.
Koresh ordered other men to leave their wives and he took them up as his own. He made the men and women live on separate floors and separate wings. He even fathered the daughter of his second-in-command. Survivors attested to young girls being brought to Koresh.
In no way can Koresh come out looking like the good guy, or even a decent human being.
Ruby Ridge is an entirely different situation, but the FBI issued illegal “shoot on sight” orders and they only came out of it because of sovereign immunity. Lon Horuchi should have been tried for murder, but it would have put the FBI on trial.
As I said, I don’t trust anything the FBI said and I think there is strong evidence that they and the BATF both lied. Nothing on the tape could be interpreted that they were setting fires and even if one thought that was what they meant, I would not trust the validity of the tapes.
I never heard any other members confirm the molestation charges and I watched the events closely.
I am watching the mini-series Waco. The assault should be wednesday night.
But on the documentary which is over they said that one of the members who came out after the fire started said he smelled some men spreading gasoline up and down the hall ways.
