I don’t know anything about this but I used to live near a Syrian Christian community near Asbury Park, NJ. The most anti-semitic people you’ll meet. That is not to say that these Iranians are bad people just that buying a pig in a poke can be questionable.
I worked with and was a friend of a Palestinian Christian woman. She was VERY anti-Semitic, but felt the same way about Muslims. I think her experience with the security precautions the Israeli take with all Palestinians blinded her to the reality of the situation there.
That reminds me of this Greek family I knew. Cut throat businessman and very anti-Semitic. We used to joke that he hated Jews because he didn’t like competition. His son made a comment to me that Hitler did not go far enough. They were Greek Orthodox of course.
