Five women were shot dead in an apparent Islamist attack on an Orthodox church in Russia’s North Caucasus region of Dagestan on Sunday.
According to local press reports, an unidentified gunman fired at worshippers in the small town of Kizlyar in the mainly Muslim region. At least five other people, including two Russian police officers, were wounded in the attack, which took place after a service to mark the start of Russian Orthodox Lent ---snip--- The attacker was “eliminated” by police fire, the regional internal affairs ministry added.

The establishment in America, including neocons , treated Muslim terrorists in the North Caucuses as heroes in the 90’s. That didn’t really change until after 9/11.
That's a rather simplistic assessment. Alliances change and nobody could predict the fall of the Soviet Union and the 9/11 attack.

Worked just great for Boston. A guy who brought them (Graham Fuller) is a fugitive in Turkey for Islamist agitation. He believes Erdogan is not enough Islamist and has to be replaced by ‘progressive Islamist’ . Graham has gone so native with the cutthroats that he has to be sent there.
