Officers found an AK-47 in the teenager's bedroom, along with grenades ...

Hold on a sec. Grenades? How would he get his hands on grenades? The grenade show loophole?

Parents???

My mom used to go through my handbag looking for...cigarettes. Now parents ignore rocket launchers.

Meanwhile Politicians collude to deny us our God Given Rights.

Let me know when they pass a Law making the combination of Evil and Human Ingenuity Illegal.

Well, if it had nothing to do with Russia and Trump, they should have let him go. I wonder if he had a MAGA cap.

“Make a Change?”

While there’s a Michael Jackson song that is sometimes alternatively called “Make a Change” the song this kid is thinking of is most likely a Nahko song which is a little too open to interpretation for a young person [lyrics]:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5YGCCJor2k

That was probably the artist’s worst song, most are much better. The artist uses American Indian themes.

Was this kid part Indian or just Wannabi Indian?

Kind of catchy, actually. Fitting that a wise “elder” turned him in before he acted on his plans.

First of all...we need stop treating teens as children...once they are capable of reproducing they should be given rights and responsibility and accountability as adults. Second..we gotta stop the over the top shooters imagery found everywhere...news..computer games..movies..novels...comic books..where do you think these mentally deranged people get their ideas? Not from reading books on metaphysics, I’m sure.
What is especially galling is the idiotic self righteous media decrying these crimes yet showing or discussing or bloviating over them 24/7(keeps their ratings competitive y’now). The mentally deranged are in monkey see monkey do mode. Why keep feeding them this imagery day in day out?
And finally...its not a crime to be mentally ill. Once diagnosed some of these people need to be controlled. It would seem to me that most publicized mass murders are done by mentally deranged people...even people who murder one by one have some mental issues...though many are just plain greedy.

Please pardon my long rant.Thank you.

The day - way back when - the government and other authorities decided parents didn’t have the right to set standards, demand good behavior, and administer punishment to their own kids, was the start of all this.

When I was a kid, if my parents found they couldn’t control me, then the law came down on them. THEY were ultimately responsible for my behavior in society and the police held them to it.

That was motivation enough for my parent to make sure I behaved and stayed within the rules, and the law.

A “Parental Responsibility Bill” should be introduced into Congress. Have the authorities go after the parents when the kids get out of line. Your kids misbehave and you do nothing about it, then YOU go to jail.

If I got a paddling at school, I got my ass beat again when my dad heard about it. That misbehavior didn’t reflect on me, as a kid, as bad as it did on the parents.

If the parents abuse a kid, or voluntarily abandon a kid, find their parental asses and lock them up. If they have a tendency to try and skirt their responsibility, then get their attention, and demand it.

Discipline has to start early, early enough for the kid to be taught right from wrong. No nonsense discipline, consistent discipline, and you can start easing up later. You’ve established your dominancy as a parent, so by then all it takes is a certain look, or a raised eyebrow, to snap them back into line.

Thank God I had strict parents who raised me right.

OK. Now we are getting somewhere.

Follow this story, and compare and contrast what SHOULD happen with what DOES happen.

What SHOULD happen is that this young man should be arrested and immediately admitted involuntarily to a mental hospital (if one exists in his jurisdiction). A police investigation should discern if he tortures animals, has ever hurt anyone, or uses cocaine or methamphetamine.

His involuntary stay should be indefinite from admission, with the only role of a court hearing to determine if the facts as presented are true or not (did he write the words. etc).

If he has a background of animal abuse or has juvenile offenses involving unprovoked injury to others, he should be locked up for the rest of his life. Any “treatment” should serve the purpose of avoiding injury to staff or other involuntary patients.

If anything he has done constitutes a crime, he should be tried in open court and if convicted given a sentence consistent with the crime, but with serving the sentence postponed as long as he is confined in the mental health system.

"It's too f---ing easy to buy a gun," he wrote on Jan. 25, police said..."Kill yourself at the end of Make a change."

That's a lot of trouble to go to for the sake of trying to make firearms illegal.

“’It’s too f-—ing easy to buy a gun,’ he wrote on Jan. 25, police said.”

“Kill yourself at the end of...”

I suspect that he had intended to insert another word there and end the sentence, but that he forgot.

“Make a change.”

It looks like he want ownership of firearms to be made illegal. That would certainly be necessary to start a communist or fascist takeover.

Thank goodness the grandmother called the police and not the FBI.....that decision alone may have saved scores of lives.

‘Gun Free Zone’.

Psychotropic drugs?

Broken home.

God given 2nd amendment right to self defense infringed. Creating another target rich environment.

Plus the media glorifying the perpetrator. They should not mention the perps name.
