The Mueller Dogs Bark, but the Caravan Moves On

A. The Latest Indictments

Shortly after Rod Rosenstein announced the latest series of indictments against Russians largely for posts on social media, the stock market rose and hit its highest weekly gain since 2013. And for good reason – the indictments are idiotic. They would never have been issued by a prosecutor, only a special counsel looking as if he's doing something as his case against his big catch – General Michael Flynn – seems to become less and less certain to lead to conviction.

As Power Line blog notes:

But when all the details are added up a much murkier picture emerges. First, the effort apparently began taking shape as early as May 2014 (and perhaps as early as 2013), an entire year before Trump became a candidate. Then, as they got underway during the primary season, the indictment says (p. 17) that "They engaged in operations primarily intended to communicate derogatory information about Hillary Clinton, to denigrate other candidates such as Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, and to support Bernie Sanders and then-candidate Donald Trump," and instructions to their online "specialists" to "use any opportunity to criticize Hillary and the rest (except Sanders and Trump – we support them)." It didn't take any kind of special intelligence to perceive that Sanders and Trump represented the two most disruptive candidates in the field. Just think of how the political establishments of both parties would have regarded a Sanders-Trump general election in 2016.

President Trump, fire Rosenstein. Have Sessions cancel the Special Counsel and set up a new Special Counsel to investigate Hillary.

These “joke” indictments are the “look over there at that bright, shiny object” ruse to try and take the heat off of the criminal FBI! But I think that bit doesn’t really work any longer. Decent people know the game now.

No, no, no, no.

The Mueller circus has done vastly more damage to the DIMS than to PDJT.

As vexing as it is at times, it needs to keep plodding along until it collapses of its own weight and corruption.

So, a handful of Russians, posting a relative handful of Facebook ads, organizing a small number of sparsely attended rallies, posting disparaging comments online, and spending a whopping $1.2 MILLION over a period of 3 years, is all that the “Russian interference in our election” amounts to?

I’d say that the US media has done far more damage to the election process, and the country than these rather inept Russians ever dreamed possible.

What fuels Mueller’s delusion is the firm belief that Trump:

1. Despite all the record setting crowds,

2. Despite the backing of the Republican Party (mostly),

3. Despite the backing of conservative talk radio and extensive prominent internet conservative platforms,

4. Despite the help of dedicated staff,

5. Despite Trump’s own media experience, savvy, and instincts,

6. Trump spends enormous time and effort to enlist the aid of Russians, who, as we all know, have extensive and centuries-long historical knowledge and experience orchestrating democratic elections, to come over here and seal the deal for him.

7. And, most importantly, the firm belief that it would have been IMPOSSIBLE for Trump to have won without said Russian help, to actually beat the lovely and gracious Hillary, the smartest woman on planet Earth, and the most credentialed candidate in world history.

The indictments are idiotic indeed but it’s an excuse for Mueller to keep the fake news alive so the the left don’t get any more crazier.

Is that all there is, is that all,
If that’s all there is my friends, then let’s keep dancing,
Let’s break out the booze and have a ball,
If that’s all... there is…

Hillary was fishing for an ‘October Surprise’ with which to hit Donald Trump. Trouble is, she and her people are complete incompetents. They couldn’t launder the data in time to hit Trump with it 2 or 3 weeks before the election when the Media could blare it, and Trump’s campaign couldn’t knock down the falsehoods. So there’s Hillary on election night, refusing to give her concession speech, huddling with her fellow incompetents to figure out what to do. Well, there’s this investigation which is still out there...

Well, Hillary did try her "October surprise" with the help of a member of the Bush family--the infamous conversation with Billy Bush which her campaign tried to milk for all it was worth.

Unlike the 24-year-old DUI story which the Gore campaign launched the Thursday before the election in 2000 (and which probably cost GWB several million votes after the media obsessed with it the last days before the election), the Bush tape did not have the desired impact because those planning to vote for Trump did not back him because they thought he was a choir boy.

“Just think of how the political establishments of both parties would have regarded a Sanders-Trump general election in 2016. “

They would have been all-in for Sanders. He’s a mainstream dem who tells the truth a little too much about his left wing positions. But he’s not advocating anything that 90% of dems don’t support. He’s not to the left of Obama.
