Ending School to Prison Pipeline in FL [resulted in St. Valentine's Day School Massacre-NAACP]

-----This explains Why Cruz was Never Prosecuted for Crimes Committed at School before he grew bold and went on a murdering rampage. Deceased and wounded victims' families can thank the NAACP. --------

Press Release (2013) The NAACP has brokered a groundbreaking collaborative agreement on school discipline with Broward County Public Schools, law enforcement and its community partners. The agreement will serve as a model for school districts nationwide that aim to end the school to prison pipeline wreaking havoc in communities of color.

The collaborative agreement establishes proven alternatives to arrest for misdemeanor infractions by students that include common sense approaches such as counseling and mentorship. The historic agreement leverages the support of Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) and local law enforcement by reducing student suspensions, expulsions and arrests, while maintaining safe learning environments for students.

The agreement highlights the role of school officials in determining when student infractions warrant an arrest versus school disciplinary measures, particularly for minor misbehavior/offenses. The collaborative agreement is part of the national movement to end the schoolhouse to jailhouse pipeline.

Chairman of the NAACP National Board of Directors Roslyn M. Brock praised the new agreement:[snip]

[Comment] This asinine program instituted in 2013 between the NAACP, Broward Schools and the Broward Sheriff's Office SHIELDED NIKOLAS CRUZ from being prosecuted for all of his crimes committed at school. Prior to this 2013 agreement, Cruz would have been subject to arrest by the BSO at Parkland HS.

Law enforcement was not informed that Nikolas Cruz was selling knives at the school cafeteria, bringing ammo to class, or engaging in assaults at Parkland High School because this asinine agreement forbids the school from informing local law enforcement. The agreement shields law-breaking students while on the school premises. Nikolas Cruz risked no legal consequences for his criminal behavior.

A big 'Shout-Out' and 'Thanks' to the NAACP and Broward County for paving the way for criminal youth to wreak havoc in Broward schools and community. The results of this program have been notoriously tragic and will be terribly expensive.

The parents and families of 17 dead innocents and countless others should realize that their school board's progressive and criminal stupidity precipitated this catastrophe. Hopefully these broken families will sue the NAACP and all who conspired to implement a system of juvenile lawlessness throughout the Broward County School District.

I have a friend who teaches in a Florida public school, and she said this is one of the most disastrous things they have ever done. It makes it impossible to get disruptors out of the classroom or the school, it makes it impossible to get them into the hands of law-enforcement, and it renders the teachers and schools completely helpless to protect the decent children.

“...to end the school to prison pipeline wreaking havoc in communities of color. ...”

Yup... it’s the “program” that’s “wreaking havoc in communities of color...”

It’s never the PEOPLE themselves... nope, can’t be, uh-uh, not no way not no how...

The NAACP plan revised the district school conduct code and virtually eliminated the 13 most likely rules (laws) that black boys disobey that lands them in JuVee.

Niki should have been busted at Parkland at a minimum of four times that are publicly known.

1. Possessing & selling knives. 2. Possessing ammunition 3. Assault 4. Assualt

Likewise, at home and in the neighborhood: Multiple assaults, voyeurism, destruction of private property multiple times, mail theft, trespassing, curfew, animal abuse, etc.

Self mutilation and repeatedly running away from home also gets a child in the system.

Here is the Miami-Dade version of this policy, which led to Trayvon Martin being suspended to Sanford, FL.

Look at it from Cruz s point of view: NOTHING he did, however heinous was punished. He has now figured out how to get punished. He may actually be a little amazed at how much trouble he is actually in.

I have a friend that has taught special education there for years. Some of the stories are truly unbelievable and very sad.

Two separate racial codes of conduct has been in place for decades. That still wasn’t enough. The new A-American Super. from Chicago is boosting minority graduation rates and lowering minority male drop-out rates by doing away with the rules of law that results in suspensions and expulsions. Big deal if they ruin the class for the rest of the kids who come to school to learn.

They finally made this disaster official and mainstreamed the destruction of the schools with this NAACP program.

My friend’s disruptive, menacing students are all white, as are virtually all of the kids in the school. The law was created to protect black urban kids from the consequences of their own behavior and to improve school stats (oh, no, we haven’t had any problems, and, oh, yes, of course, the attendance rate is great...”.

The bad behavior is not race-related but the law was politically race related.

“This school district should be bankrupted by lawsuits as a result of their policy.”

I thought they received tax money, which they then spent on education.

Why would they have assets?

Cruz was breaking all the rules and laws with impunity. He has no respect for authority- NOT mom-neighbors-school-police.

His mother covered and lied about his whereabouts to her neighbors when he vandalized their homes and threw rocks at their cars. He had been totally out of control for years. He was diagnosed with Autism and he should have not been mainstreamed given his academic struggles, social awkwardness, OCD, ADD and Oppositional Defiance Disorder.

I don’t believe Broward has Special Facilities for these types. They diagnose kids and utilize the diagnose to collect extra $$$$$$$ from Florida & the federal government. The kids are mainstreamed and feel increasingly weird and out of place. They disrupt the regular classrooms. Teachers pull their hair out trying to help. It’s wrong all the way around.

Well this certainly sheds light on how this guy managed to avoid prison despite his 30+ police calls to his house and criminal activity on school campus.
This guy should not have been on the streets, and in any other state he would have at least lost his right to keep arms.

In all seriousness thou he belonged in a mental institution and they should have known this. He was going to kill or injure someone no matter what he did.

Yes, this is a good article that clarifies how he had lived.

His problems were severe and warranted him being immersed in a highly structured closed environment.

Hmm.. Someone made some threats against others at a Parkland at a private residence on a Friday night and on Monday when the kids told the school, the response was

—Armed lockdown and 2 arrests of 15yrolds — made at the school.

So this action demonstrates that the police CAN respond accordingly and arrest when they hear a viable threat. In this case, the EFFF-BEE-AYE failed to inform anyone. They failed to act for Niki would have been busted.

However, it may be some other Parkland, not FL.

Using the Path to Prison Pipeline study Holder’s D O J took over education. This has helped ruin education. Extremely highly paid, six figure salary principals who arent fired no matter how bad they are don’t allow teachers to remove unruly students from their classroom by sending them to the office. Thus an unruly student can disrupt the learning of everyone else in the class. This also does the unruly student no favor in the long run. Principals have become customer service managers trying to appease parents by putting on a constant show, like a play.

As a teacher, one black student was so disruptive that I referred him to the counselor’s office. I was informed that his adult supervisor (grandmother) could not control him and she gave the school permission to handle it on their own. In other words, she sent her kid to school to be “fixed”. So he disrupted every class. Oh, no other teacher would take him, so he had to remain in my classroom. BTW, this student was smart, he knew the power he had and used it to become the clown of the class when he wished attention.

When Eric Holder was a student at Columbia he took over the university with a gun.

So school shootings seem the logical consequence when such a man was allowed to take over the education system.

And where is Bill Ayers? He is running education too.
