What happened 8 days later? The FBI went and got a FISA Warrant with the "Insurance Policy".
Yes, this is an old article. But look at it now with knowledge of the past. That quote from Trump during the debate had to infuriate, and scare, Hillary Clinton, James Comey, and all the members of the DoJ and FBI who where trying to get Trump.
Look back at what we know, and think we know based on what we DO know, now and what these conspirators knew.
1. The NSA/FBI had almost certainly been intercepting phone calls and unmasked members of the Trump Campaign.
2. They had tried, and failed, to get a FISA Warrant already.
3. James Comey and the FBI KNEW at this point that more illegal Hillary Clinton emails had been found on Anthony Weiner’s laptop, AND HAD NOT BEEN DISCLOSED TO CONGRESS.
4. People were already FURIOUS at James Comey for letting Hillary walk on hundreds of felony charges.
5. How would Donald Trump react when he found out they had already been investigating him and his campaign and in all likelihood leaking that info to the Clinton Campaign?
What happened 8 days after this “threat” by Trump in the debate? They got a FISA Warrant so they could go all out and get Trump so that he wouldn’t get them.
Ahh, the good old days, back when a lot of us really thought we’d have Hillary ‘oranged up and locked down’.

You’re mixing your metaphors. It’s just a plain elephant in the room that nobody talks about. A pink elephant is what you see when you’re so drunk you’re hallucinating, apparently, never really understood that.
I think many were caught in a landslide with no escape from reality.
Yeah, and he was going to end DACA on day one.
When I get frustrated about Jeff Sessions or the fact that Rosenstein still draws a salary based on tax dollars, I think back to the 2016 debates. Part of me hopes that Trump is working behind the scenes or at least hasn’t forgotten that promise. He’s been pretty good as far as keeping his campaign promises so far, though not totally. Time will tell.

Since I am not at all hopeful that the justice system will work where Hillary, Slick, or Obola is concerned, I can only hope that they will somehow have their lives “foreshortened,” by one means or another.
I think Sessions has been a big roadblock. I still have faint hope of being proven wrong. Rather, I think Sessions, Rosenstein, Wray, and maybe even Mueller will be gone by the end of the year.
Basically after the elections I think Trump’s going to ask for everybody’s resignation. Nothing personal, just going in a different direction.
Then it will be Roger Stone, Attorney General of the United States! Just kidding with that part. It’ll be Anthony Scaramucci. [Bhoom!] I’m on fire today!
You don’t understand the significance of my post. This is likely the underlying reason or tripping point for using the “insurance policy” to obtain the FISA Warrant.
Haha, I liked the Mooch. That guy was fearless and he got rid of Priebus. Shame that his reign was so short.
No chance anybody big leaves before the midterms. Somebody will get the axe next year. Either Sessions or Rosenstein would be my guess.
A week after the election he said on 60 Minutes he wouldn’t investigate her.
