The reason is the old “honest” communist party (:-)) ran as a belligerent, militant and armed revolutionary party.
However, the present communists are Cultural Marxists, who are infiltrating our culture through a “long march through (our) institutions. They look and act like liberals who are advocating “within the system,” (which they’ve taken over). They are what Joseph McCarthy called Subversives.
