The FBI says proper protocol was not followed in following up on a tip about Nikolas Cruz, the suspect in the a deadly mass shooting at a Florida high school on Wednesday in which 17 people were killed.
A person close to Cruz called an FBI tip line on Jan. 5 with information about Cruz's desire to kill people, erratic behavior, disturbing social media posts, as well as the potential of him conducting a school shooting, according to an FBI statement.

Flub ?
Are they afraid to say FBI mishandling of key piece of evidence that may have prevented 17 murders??
Democrat governors will join Scott in 3 . . . 2 . . . 1 . . .
FBI: Federal Bureau of Incompetence
What about he local sheriff’s department?
I wonder if Trey Gowdy’s ears will perk up and he will howl with righteous indignation to see just how this could happen, like he is over the employment of Portman.
No, they just want to reserve the right to beat the gun-conrol drum for a few more days.
Wray has been on the job since September 2017. Calling for him to resign for this incident, is about the same as screaming for more gun control/confiscation.
Yes, everyone is angry that this event occurred. There is no quick fix. Addressing guns or Wray isn’t the solution.
Sure, if Wray didn’t take measures to make sure this doesn’t happen again he would need to be removed.
He is no more responsible for this than Trump is when some underling of his screws up.
Look folks, I don’t care for Wray either, but we have to be rational here.
In five months Wray isn’t responsible for all FBI failings. S-— happens. This should never have happened, but I don’t see Wray directly responsible here. Locals screwed up, no doubt about it.
Now, how many warnings do they get, and how many of the folks reported on actually commit a crime?
This guy sounds more “ripe” than most though, and I think the FBI screwed up here.
I do think some folks need to be let go closer to the incident site. This seems to have been quite preventable.
Where it’s appropriate, I think the FBI needs to address their attitude when dealing with the public. Ignoring people because they aren’t LEOs is a fools game.

Sounds like. The administration needs to clean that place out.......PRONTO! Tell Mueller to kiss arse where Mike Flynn is concerned and put Flynn in charge........;) Too much brother in law crap going on there.
FLUB?!?
as much as it is easy to dog pile on Wray, the real responsibility lies with whoever was in charge of the Florida FBI and the agents that didn’t do their job.
Apparently the tip came into an FBI hotline, the Miami field office was never notified. Not clear where the tip line was located.
“Democrat governors will join Scott in 3 . . . 2 . . . 1 . . .”
ALL GOVERNORS should join Scott. Wray needs to be gone, and not for this shooting, but rather because he’s a GW BOOSH Weasel who doesn’t want to fix what’s very wrong with the FBI.
Where does the buck stop for the incompetent corrupt FBI? On Sleepin Jeffs desk.
Begs the question. Why we’re all the local authorities so ineffective? Cruz had been visited 39 times by local police and the problem was never solved.
“FLUB?!?”
FBI too busy making up stuff on Trump and screwing each other in the cloak room. Looks like they stepped on their Oscar Myer. People saw something, they said something and the FBI did nothing.... did not follow protocol. FIRE ‘EM. I hope Trump calls them out on this. Watching the Broward County Sheriff press conference now and they are pointing fingers at the FBI and trying to cover their own butts.
Afraid of getting sued. Parkland is one of those rich liberal areas where the kids never do anything wrong according to the parents. 84% white, media household income for a family $277,000. It went for Hillary in the last election
I’ll be surprised if Trump doesn’t fire himm...
Naolitano just made that point on Fox. He called it malfeasence, which it is. He agreed with Rick Scott - somebody’s head has got to roll..
