A Republican running for a Kansas congressional seat is going forward with his planned AR-15 giveaway for his campaign after the same weapon was used to carry out the mass shooting at a Florida high school this week.

I doubt seriously that he is giving away the same weapon that was used in the shooting. I’m pretty sure the cops have in some evidence room, or are actively performing ballistics testing on it.

I didn’t even want an AR-15, the round is puny. Yeah it is fast, but it is still a puny 55 grain projectile.
There are more effective cartridges available.
I bought an AR last year when it looked like Hildebeast might win just because they don’t want me to have one.

I would have thought that it would have been secured by police and later used in the prosecution of the crime as the first evidence presented in the case. Sotheby’s here we come if I win that raffle.

Yeah, the funny thing is, if that kid had used a 12 gauge shotgun with a short tactical sized barrel and double ought buck - in the tight, crowded confines os school halls and classes - it would have been worse. But everyone wants to get the vapors over the scary black (20 caliber) rifle.
