The day after a shooter killed 17 people at a Florida high school, President Donald Trump offered comforting words - for gun owners.
"We are committed to working with state and local leaders to help secure our schools and tackle the difficult issue of mental health," Trump said in brief remarks at the White House. "It is not enough to simply take actions that make us feel like we are making a difference. We must actually make that difference."
Translation: Your guns are safe.
With Republicans in control of both chambers of Congress - and Democrats holding enough seats to sustain a filibuster in the Senate - it seems highly unlikely that Congress will send Trump any major change to gun laws anytime soon.
On Thursday, gun-rights advocates praised Trump's expressions of sympathy for the victims, their families and survivors of the shooting. They were reassured by what he's said in the past - and what he didn't say at the White House - about his universe of solutions for preventing the next deadly attack.

You know what, LOSER, gun owners DO need comfort...because every single time some nut goes and murders a bunch of innocents, Leftist hacks drooling over the prospect of a disarmed public come crawling out from under your rocks, and demand that the full force of the government be used to take away their legally-acquired property, property that was never utilized to harm another person, and to also simultaneously strip them of the right to protect themselves.
What President Trump has done is to assure the 100 million or so innocent people who own guns in this country, and who did not murder 17 people in a Florida high school yesterday, that their property and security are not up for the political auction of the day.

The FBI knew about the shooter and did nothing to prevent it from happening. Intervention does not fit with the narrative. 17 people dead, in their warped mind, does advance the agenda
They can impose marshal law or have a revolution when hundreds of millions of guns, with ammunition, are out and about.
If this is the same FBI that would be charged with enforcing some new gun control laws, then gun owners are safe. The FBI has become a cruel joke.
