What difference does it make what they put on the menu? Little kids can’t read, and you can still get the cheeseburger if you ask for it. This is just meaningless pandering to the food police.
They already replaced half the fries with apple slices; you get a tiny carton of fries now.

It is time McDonald’s build a decent hamburger with lettuce, tomato and onion. Throwing cheap imitation cheese in a hamburger is like a stripped down cheesesteak sandwich.

I still remember the very first McDonalds ads and jingle on the early 1960s.
“Forty seven cents for a tree course meal.
At McDonalds. The Drive-In With The Golden Arches!”
And that was a standard burger, fries and chocolate, vanilla or strawberry milk shake.
And NBC’s Willard Scott was Washington, DC’s first Ronald McDonald.

Once perhaps as many as 3 times per year I will on the road & stop someplace that serves fast food and get a cheeseburger with mustard only and dill pickle. I prefer slow-food to fast- food. But I will say this, McDonald’s ain’t bad... Once a year.
