At this point in the game, it’s far easier for Liz to stick to her story, than to back down and admit she’s been lying the whole damn time. If she admits her lies, she will at minimum need to repay certain loans, grants, endowments, payments for teaching jobs that came her way only because of the Indian deception.
She is taking a gamble that no court in the land would order a DNA test.
She considers offended (actual) Indians as insignificant collateral damage needed to maintain her status.

NA roots can be hard to prove for a lot of reasons. However, if you don’t have proof, claiming you do will bite you.

Not only that, Tucker Carlson had a young member of the Cherokee tribe on his show a few weeks back who called BS on Warren - said Warren should be able to list her ancestors by name, who all they were, where they lived and so forth. The fact that she has not raises the BS flag. The Cherokee are not a large people, so keeping track of who was who is doable and makes it easier to expose liars.

This is nothing that a quick trip to the 23andme.com web site and ninety bucks wouldn't resolve for good. Problem is, it's valuable to the dems to keep the narrative going. It's kind of like the the whole 0bama birth certificate thing. Some time near her next re-election we will be presented with a photo shopped DNA chart showing that she (or someone else who actually took the test for her) is 3% Native American and aren't Trump and the Republicans stupid.

This is a no-win issue for our side.
