She sent Mike Madigan a letter last year warning the House speaker that a top political aide and brother of Madigans own hand-picked alderman had made unwanted advances.
Repeated text messages asking the woman if she wanted to go out on a date or have drinks.
A press release about the news conference calls the firing pro-active but a cover up showing the woman is not pleased about how her allegations were treated.
The woman, identified as Alaina Hampton, came forward not once, but twice. The firing came a day after Hampton filmed an interview.
I basically lost everything I worked for because some guy could not control himself, Hampton said in the interview, while revealing repeated unwanted texts from Kevin Quinn. Hampton, too, said when she told Ald. Quinn about the allegations, he asked her whether she would want to be a precinct captain. Kevin Quinns behavior, she said, prompted her to leave the political organization.

“Repeated text messages asking the woman if she wanted to go out on a date or have drinks.”
You know, you can block those? It’s now sexual harassment to ask a woman out on a date?
Blocking works.
Responding with “TRO MFer” works too.
I am kind of new to the texting lingo. I use to think “TRO MFer” meant I love you too, sweetie.

The #MeToo movement brought a push in that general direction, whatever other abuses it brought along with it.
It looks like there is a limit on how immoral you can get before you knock your own show apart. If grievance activism is the Democrat thing, well they got it.
FOAD works well,too.
But that’s not Democrat. Democrat is “I shall kill you with the death of a thousand grievances.”
I know, right?
This is an allegation that “deserves to be believed”?
What constitutes “repeated”. I mean since apparently we have to parse every phrase...
Dude dodged a big one...”..dem b——es be crazy...”
#metoodisgusted
It might have been hanky panky for all we know.
Madigan be like, hey I’ve got an uprising on my hands, you got to take one for the team, don’t worry my brother-in-law still has something for you.
Yes, it is. Unless, of course you have applied for and received a signed, notarized, “Permission to Ask Me Out on a Date” (PAMOD) Form from the person in whom you are interested.
The application process can take up to 90 days...
Color me a conspiracy nut, but here’s what I believe.
It is the plan of the left to paint men, all men, whether Democrat or Republican as unfit to hold office and that the only choice is to elect women.
The Democrats see as their only chance to win the whipping up of the women into a frenzy state so that they, the women, who as we all know outnumber men in this country anyway will vote for the female candidate simply because they are not men.
I think the Democrats see this as their last chance to get a woman in the White House certainly but also to advance women and empower them in all areas. What I don’t think they are seeing is that in the long run this is going to cause more trouble for women, certainly at the social level then they can imagine.
I am retired and have been for many years however as I see what’s going on today especially in the workplace I can tell you this. I would never allow myself to be alone with a woman at any time without having my phone set to record everything that is said. The pure fact is after watching what is going on and seeing women make accusations for alleged harassment which occurred 7, 10, 15 20, and sometimes 30 years ago, it has caused me to be totally mistrustful of women.
When the woman says “No” for seven straight months I think that a reasonable man would have gotten the message.
The alleged harasser was also married, which may not been discernible from the excerpts.
Here are a few sample texts (and descriptions from the newspaper):
Among the texts included in Hamptons filing was one in which Kevin Quinn purportedly informed her he was separated from his wife.
I think about you all the time, one text said. Another text stated that hed seen a picture on Facebook of Hampton in a bikini and said: You are smoking hot!
A subsequent text included a message calling her hot, beautiful and smart.
Hampton repeatedly discouraged the overtures, saying she wanted to keep the relationship professional.
I need you to stop, one text stated. I have dedicated a lot of time to this election cycle and I will continue to do so, but I need to be able to do my work without you contacting me like this. Im not interested. I just want to do my work.
Quinn recently pleaded guilty to misdemeanor disorderly conduct during his involvement in divorce proceedings.
In November, lawmakers approved several bills aimed at curbing sexual harassment in Illinois politics amid warnings that the rushed effort alone isnt enough to correct a decadeslong culture of unethical behavior toward women at the Capitol. Legislative leaders also appointed a legislative inspector general, a post that had been vacant for three years as ethics complaints piled up.
Yeah, that sounds like a Lothario who could or would not stop.
Well the worm eventually turns.
She should have told him to put some ice on IT.
Alaina Hampton
For Illinois, that’s hot. To me, that’s a 6-1/2.
