He’s doing that now. His SOTU message was aimed directly at them (”Get the motor city humming again”). If the Reps can turn Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin reliably Red, the Dems are done.

I don’t know if the private Trump business still foreign sources its haute couteur and if Donald even has a say there, but it gets frequently cited by lefties who question Donald’s resolve here. If that went all US made it would say something.

True. But it’s got to be more than talk. I live in a rust-belt state. By 2020 there had better be new factories where the old steel mills were, or Trump will lose my state.

And in many ways, that would be unfair to Trump. Congress can easily block his plans to MAGA. But that’s the way I see it.

The Blue Dog Democrats in my state went for Trump. The wall is not their #1 priority. And neither is North Korea, or the stock market. Their #1 priority is the return of US factory jobs.

I’m a native New Yorker, it’s as bad in the middle of upstate as it is in the Midwest. The jobs will come back, but will they be able to wean these folks away from the Unions? They won’t bring factories back only to be saddled with ridiculous Union demands.

Ryan would be better off running for Governor of Ohio. I have no doubts he could take down Kasich.

Salena Zito is a sharp lady with her finger on the pulse of the Rust Belt. Need to listen to her. If she is picking up signs of life for the Democrats in Trump Country we should pay attention.

Michigan is now a Right to Work state. Having lived there that fact absolutely stuns me.
