The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday let a court-ordered redrawing of congressional districts in Pennsylvania proceed, raising Democratic hopes that a revamped map might yield them several more seats this fall.
Justice Samuel Alito, who handles emergency appeals from Pennsylvania, rejected the request from GOP legislative leaders and voters to put on hold an order from the state Supreme Court intended to produce new congressional districts in the coming two weeks.
The Pennsylvania high court ruled last month that the current map of 18 districts violates the state constitution because it unfairly benefits Republicans.

When it unfairly benefits the Dems it’s OK
nice bit of bias in the AP headline.
It did no such thing.
When it unfairly benefits the Dems its OK

Yep. nonstop corruption and Repubs sitting around sipping tea.
Democratic-appointed judges on the Pennsylvania State Supreme Court. You can never expect fairness or impartial rulings from liberal judges.
Seriously speaking regarding all voting districts in the USA, please consider the following
Repeal the ill-conceived 17th Amendment (17A).
And consider that the repeal amendment for 17A needs a provision to prohibit political party support for federal politicians.
After all, given that one of the very few powers that the states have expressly constitutionally delegated to the feds to define domestic policy is to run the US Mail Service (1.8.7), most federal domestic policy based on stolen state powers imo, the key question concerning political party support for federal politicians is this.
How many political parties does it take to run the mail service?
I say none.
In fact, a previous generation of state sovereignty-respecting Supreme Court justices, also a constitutional lawmaker, had clarified the fed's constitutionally limited powers as follows.
... the care of the property, the liberty, and the life of the citizen, under the solemn sanction of an oath imposed by your Federal Constitution, is in the States, and not in the Federal Government [emphases added]. Rep. John Bingham, Congressional Globe, 1866. (See about middle of 3rd column.)
From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]. United States v. Butler, 1936.
On the other hand, political party support for state politicians is ok. After all, if a state run by feuding political parties implodes, then the state can become a US Territory again, and a star removed from the flag.
In the meanwhile
Patriots need to finish the job that they started by electing Trump president in 2016.
Patriots need to do this by now making sure that there are plenty of Trump-supporting, state sovereignty-respecting patriot candidates on the 2018 primary ballots, and pink-slip incumbents by seeing patriot candidate lawmakers to DC on election day.
But until the states wake up and repeal 17A, as evidenced by concerns about the integrity of Alabama's special Senate election, patriot candidates need to win elections by a large enough margin to compensate for possible deep state ballot box fraud and associated MSM scare tactics.
Hacking Democracy - The Hack
This is all about giving the democrats the US House.
And when the Republicans keep the House, THEN what are they gonna do??
Bush v. Gore (2000):
Art. 2, Sect. 1, Clause 2. Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors...
This case:
Art. 1, Sect. 4. The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof...
Last time I checked the Legislature controls the purse stings. They should provide -0- for implementing the new districts, force the courts to pay for it out of their own budget.

This isn’t how the law works. Whoever wrote this needs to be disbarred or whoever reported it needs to be educated on reporting Law.
Legalese needs to be legalese. When you summarize or translate, problems are created.
I’d like to know more about it, but I dont’ need to. I only need to know what I know as a Pennsylvanian:
I worked at the US Census Bureau. I know Gerrymandering and I know that Democrats do it far, far more than others. This is because Democrats can’t win an actual election so they have to cheat. A democrat is only concerned about power and privilege. So when I was approached by some lefties in the parking lot asking me to help stop Gerrymandering, I smelled something in the air.
When they continued to tell me about how republicans cheat and lie to steal votes because they can’t win elections without cheating or Russian influence, I knew we had an issue with this.
Can’t this be appealed to the entire supreme court?
No,
The appeal to Alito WAS to the entire Supreme Court. Alito is responsible for deciding if issues coming from Pennsylvania are worthy of being heard by the whole Court.
As he said no, there is no higher authority to which an appeal can be made.
State Representative Chris Dush has introduced - or at least asked for support, or co-sponsors - for a bill of impeachment for the five State Supreme Court justices who invalidated the district map.
Mind you, this wouldn’t have an effect on their ruling, nor do I expect it to get anywhere.
Oh King!!
Live forever!!
Lots of people here register Democrat because they don't like their tax assessments screwed with or similar reasons. The governor's office regularly alternates between parties.
