I don’t know any male doctor who doesn’t have a woman in the room, especially on the first visit. You’d be crazy not to. I wonder if it is now a law?
no it is good practice. In the practice I go to, there is a sign that says we can have a same sex person in the room. However, it is not automatically provided as it was years ago. These days both same sex and different sex drs have someone in the room.
