Amazing that corporation owners ( shareholders) permit this kind of malfeasance by rheir employees (denigration of company reputation , destroying its goodwill, driving away business and revenues). Someday the owners will wake up and fire these bad managers, file shareholder suits, snd there’s more they can do
Bad move Airbnb - you just lost half you customers.
All you need to know about these allegedly maligned sh*thole countries: the long list of vaccinations you have to get, state department travel advice to not drink the water, don’t even brush your teeth with the water, don’t eat fresh fruits and vegetables, carry your own toilet paper with you etc. etc.
Airb&B knows these places are sh*tholes. They’re trying to prop up the sh*tholes as fabulous first world countries because that is how AirB&B makes its money.
I spoke with two anonymous sources who told me one of the requirements for using AIRBnB services are spy cam installations in the bedrooms and bathrooms of their rentals.
If you read the “Diversity” drivel on their website, you’ll learn that they’ve hired the previous head of the ACLU to lead their diversity assurance program.
I guess they have to ensure no one turns up their nose at staying with savages in sh!thole countries.
BTW, the co-founder “sounds” and looks like a total douche.

I think it’s just the opposite. They make it harder for renters to refuse service to undesirables.

Airbnb has had a problem with people not wanting to rent to blacks. That is where the diversity nonsense comes from.
I suppose then by Airbnb’s standards, I can go ahead and search for one of their rentals online and just go crash there for the weekend without paying the fee? No walls right?
Well I promise I won’t see this commercial. I will watch on Cspan or OAN. I dont need the talking heads to explain to me what I just heard, watch another Kennedy blather or virtue signaling commercials.
I need short term rentals several times a year. Damned if I’ll ever use Airbnb.
These people should move to Africa and leave their possessions out in the open because Africa is good and walls are bad.
Apparently lots of businesses get government subsidies. They don’t care that they piss off half of the market.
If you think you can just walk around Port-au-Prince like a dopey tourist and you’ll be fine, you won’t be fine. The folks who typically go there for vacation stay to the known safe areas and have connections to the area so they’ve got some street sense. A Portlandia lefty will end up getting raped and robbed if he treats it like his hometown.

It was their LGBTQ policy that caused many to quit the bed and breakfast business.
I’ve used AirBnB a lot.
They just lost me.
