The President may not say a lot about this in the SOTU but I don’t think he can skip it entirely.
Imagine:
State of the world? Great! Middle East! Davos! North Korea! MAGA!
State of the economy? Great! Unemployment! Taxes! Budget! MAGA!
And then ... maybe 2 days later? Oh by the way we have a Constitutional crisis because the whole government is hopelessly corrupt and run by terrorists who are above the law.
And.....many will continue to work in your government with their bloated salaries and pensions.
Watch the leftist media go into overdrive rationalizing how there’s no crime here, no need for a counsel with subpoena and prosecution powers...

True, but there is a way he can address the issue of widespread government corruption in his SOTU address and yet still stay positive:
There will certainly be a portion of his speech devoted to the status of his major campaign promises - all he needs to do is include in that summary his pledge to drain the swamp.
If that memo shows hardcore evidence of corruption, it may be wise for him to shut up about it because I want those mofos in jail and him talking about it may mess up the case.
