Oprah Winfrey has suggested she will not run in the 2020 US presidential election, saying the job is "not something that interests me".
The talk show host has been widely touted as a potential candidate for the Democratic party.
But in an interview with a US magazine she gave her strongest suggestion yet that she was not planning to run.
"All you need is a mug and some campaign literature and a T-shirt," Winfrey told InStyle Magazine.
"I’ve always felt very secure and confident with myself in knowing what I could do and what I could not. And so it’s not something that interests me. I don’t have the DNA for it."
The odds of the 63-year-old becoming the next US president were slashed dramatically earlier this month amid reports she was considering running after an electrifying Golden Globes speech.
Speculation that the speech could mark the start of a bid for the 2020 presidency went into overdrive when friends suggested she was considering a campaign.
Stedman Graham, her long term partner, said it was “up to the people” but “she would absolutely do it”, while CNN quoted two friends saying she was "actively thinking” about it.
Winfrey is a prominent supporter of the Democratic Party, having campaigned for Barack Obama and endorsed Hillary Clinton in previous presidential races.

Maybe they could create a new cabinet position for her, Secretary of Cultural Re-Education.
Not to mention, Oprah has way to many skeletons in her closet, and any her wife is totally against it.

She acted as a pimp for Wienstein!
Because of Trump, the Presidency has become a 16 hour and more per day job, doing things Oprah doesn’t like doing. That and the next lazy President, doesn’t want to follow Trump.
