Aid and comfort to the enemy.

Jerry Brown and every member of the CA legislature who voted for this should be tried, convicted, and publicly hanged.

"Send the U.S. military to Sacramento, dissolve the state government, then install a military governor until the moonbats in that state get their $hit together."

Yes. California is a seccessionist state and needs to be reigned in before we relieve history.

This is a national issue, even though this is only happening in CA at the moment.

A CA drivers license is valid in all 50 states as govt issued ID. Once they have that, there is very little stopping them from going to other states and getting a drivers license there and ultimately voting there.

Applying for a New License
Voter Registration Made Simple

Since there are no 'border controls' between states, once in the country (in any state) there is essentially free flow to any other state. Now, with a 'valid' drivers license.

Precisely why immigration is a national issue and not a states rights issue.

And don't forget, if most stay in CA, that will only give more House seats to CA...based on population increase.

“Since 1996, a federal law has prohibited non-citizens from voting in federal elections, punishing them by fines, imprisonment, inadmissibility, and deportation.[3][4][5] Exempt from punishment is any non-citizen who “reasonably believed at the time of voting (...) that he or she was a citizen of the United States,” had a parent who is or was a citizen, and began permanently living in the United States before turning 16 years old.[3] The federal law does not prohibit non-citizens from voting in state or local elections, but no state has allowed non-citizens to vote in state elections since Arkansas became the last state to outlaw non-citizen voting in 1926.[6]”

There are too many loopholes in the current law.

Doesn’t really matter in statewide contests (California Assembly and Senate; U.S. Senate) as under California election rules only Democrats are allowed to run for office.

"Since 1996, a federal law has prohibited non-citizens from voting in federal elections, punishing them by fines, imprisonment, inadmissibility, and deportation. The DOJ certainly can do something about it."

It's also been illegal to be in the country illegally...

California allows ballot referendums, why don’t the people hold one and overturn that stupid illegal alien driver’s license law? Oregon passed a similar law, to much praise and fanfare from the state Chamber of Commerce and mainstream media, and then the people overwhelmingly repealed it with Oregon Ballot Measure 88 in 2014. The repeal passed in every single county too, even Multnomah County (Portland). Californians would reject it too in a statewide referendum, even as liberal as they are, almost no one outside Democratic Party politicians in the bluest states thinks giving illegal immigrants driver’s licenses is a good idea.

So Democrats cheered yesterday’s Pennsylvania gerrymandering ruling because “it disenfranchises voters.” Well, what about the American citizen who’s having their vote canceled out by an illegal immigrant? Can no one file a lawsuit against California over this?

There was a law signed into effect 1993 by Clinton that can and will be used to shut down any such lawlessness!!

“This is a national issue, even though this is only happening in CA at the moment.”

Yes. We had a problem similar to California with `Deseret’ (Utah) and polygamy in the 19th century.

In the beginning the Federalists of course wanted federalism, and federalism is a social contract.
When the Democrats are in power, the Wayback machine makes it 1960 again for them. But when they are out of power, it is 1860. They can’t insist on federalism only when it suits them.

The problem is, there is no federal law, nor does the Constitution, specifically prevent non-citizens from voting.

Not so.

(a) It shall be unlawful for any alien to vote in any election held solely or in part for the purpose of electing a candidate for the office of President, Vice President, Presidential elector, Member of the Senate, Member of the House of Representatives, Delegate from the District of Columbia, or Resident Commissioner, unless—

(1) the election is held partly for some other purpose;
(2) aliens are authorized to vote for such other purpose under a State constitution or statute or a local ordinance; and
(3) voting for such other purpose is conducted independently of voting for a candidate for such Federal offices, in such a manner that an alien has the opportunity to vote for such other purpose, but not an opportunity to vote for a candidate for any one or more of such Federal offices.

18 U.S. Code § 611

Please, tell me all the things the DOJ has done about it so far.

It is also being proposed in NYC, Chicago and other cities.

Subsequently, all electoral votes from California should be refused as tainted, and the US House of Representatives should refuse to seat any Representatives from California.

Yes, I am serious.
