A New Jersey town has banned out-of-town motorists during rush hour to prevent them from clogging its roads while using the enclave as a shortcut to the George Washington Bridge with the use of GPS navigation apps.
Residents and employees working in Leonia must display town-issued yellow hang tags in their vehicles to access the closed-off secondary roads.

Wow, how long before some town decides that they don't want outsider traffic and require locals to display a town-issued "hang tag" like, oh, let's say, a Koran or maybe a black power fist or ...?

Where is Christie when you need him to close the on/off ramps to these cities? All should lose public funding if they do not let the public use these public roads.

OK, they don’t want temporary passers-by and ban them, but then there are whole cities “welcoming” non-citizens to squat permanently!

Yay for New Jersey, the DDR of the West!
Can we assume they will be forgoing federal gas tax money for road repair?

While that may work if you’re a Waze user (which has crowd-sourced control of routing), what about people using Apple Maps, Google Maps and Here maps, let alone a standalone GPS device?

I know. Too bad as he could have done something constructive by closing these on/off ramps.
