Release The Memo: What's the Conspiracy Behind the Right-Wing Meme?(Barf alert and a LOL)

Republicans claim a secret document reveals a Hillary Clinton plot "worse than Watergate" – and they're getting a big boost from Russian bots

On a day like Friday, with a shutdown looming and DACA in the balance and Chuck Schumer huddling with President Trump in the White House, you might logically expect right-wing Twitter to be blowing up – but not, necessarily, with the seemingly unaccountable hashtag that's dominated the platform since Thursday evening: #ReleaseTheMemo. But then again, you might not logically expect American conservatives to work in concert with Russian state propagandists and Twitter bots – though by now, God knows, nobody should be surprised.

The Trump-Russia-NRA Connection: Here’s What You Need to Know Did the Kremlin funnel payments to help Trump's campaign through the National Rifle Association? The "memo" in question is a confidential four-page document assembled by a stealthy group of House Republicans, led by Intelligence Committee chair Devin Nunes, over the past month. These members, as part of the G.O.P. effort to discredit Robert Mueller and demolish his investigation into the Trump campaign's Russian collusion, undertook to "probe" whether the FBI and Justice Department misused the infamous dossier compiled by British intelligence expert Christopher Steele. Surprisingly enough, they seem to have found what they set out to find – judging, at least, from the dark and hysterical hints about the contents of the memo that right-wingers in Congress began to issue last evening.

well at least its getting more press

a snip...

It's hardly unprecedented, in these Trump times, for right-wing sites to be amplifying messages from Russian propagandists, or for members of Congress to chime in. But "the degree to which they're promoting this hashtag is significant," says Jonathon Morgan, one of the creators of the "disinformation dashboard." Morgan, CEO of Austin-based New Knowledge, which tracks disinformation campaigns in social media, can't recall anything quite like this:

“Right-wing” meme?

So only right wing people care about Democrat corruption? Everyone else is okay with that?

These are people who pushed “Bush’s Fault!” and “inherited worse economy since the Great Depression” for 8 years.

The are like a 4 year old with a joke line — they NEVER get tired of repeating it even after it is proven false.

Thanks janetjanet998. IOW, the partisan media shills at Rolling Stone are regurgitating DNC talking points, just as the Los Angeles Slimes is doing.

I know someone who knows how to get free email accounts like gmail shut down by using Russian servers to send SPAM from a targeted address and then lodging complaints against Google or other email providers. According to my source, the providers always cave on free accounts and delete them. It’s a nasty trick that some underhanded people use in a retaliatory manner.

I strongly suspect that this meme is being promoted by “Russian bots” at the behest of Democrats who are paying for them.

The Twitter meme was promptly shut down. Mission accomplished for the Russian-colluding Dem criminals.

We need to make a note of all the politicians and media people screaming bloody murder, trying to suppress this memo. These are the ones who should be summarily executed first when the current civil war goes hot.

A Russian under every rock . . . but I have to say, I have low hopes for “The Memo”. None of this really gets settled either way until it’s conclusively established that Trump is innocent (or guilty). Until then, every abuse of power is theoretically justified as part of a legitimate investigation.

Hamilton 60 is the site claiming “Russian Bots” are being used to push #Releasethememo.

Hamilton 68 was created in August of 2017, six months ago, by the far left group “Alliance for Democracy”.

Looks to me like it was created to bolster the Trump/Russia propaganda.

Alliance for Democracy: founded by Ronnie Dugger, an old ally of Russian-American Marxist and Clinton financier Bernard Rapoport, recently moved back to Austin from Massachusetts where he supported the John Kerry campaign in 2004.

yep..

TDIP is also linked to the Senate Intelligence panel. Its founder, Daniel J. Jones, was previously a staffer for Democrats on SSCI. He was also in contact in early 2017 with Virginia Sen. Mark Warner, the Democratic vice chairman of SSCI. As part of TDIP’s own Trump-Russia investigation, the group hired Fusion GPS and Christopher Steele, the author of the anti-Trump dossier. The extent of Warner’s contacts with Jones remain unclear. The collaboration between TDIP and New Knowledge, which has not been previously reported, involved a dashboard set up at the site, Disinfo2018.com, which tracked “social media disinformation networks — to include suspected foreign state-actors — conducting information warfare against the American public prior to the 2018 U.S. midterm elections.” The project appears similar to Hamilton 68, a dashboard operated by the Alliance for Security Democracy. Jonathon Morgan, the founder of New Knowledge, helped create Hamilton 68 and has appeared frequently in the media to discuss Russia’s disinformation efforts. In an interview with BBC, Morgan claimed Russians were behind #ReleaseTheMemo, the hashtag used to call for the release of a memo from House Intel Republicans that questioned the FBI’s reliance on the unverified Steele dossier to obtain surveillance warrants against former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. ———— Fusion GPS-Linked Group Worked With Tech Company Tied To Russian ‘False Flag’ Operation, Daily Caller ^ | January 10, 2019 | Chuck Ross Posted by Trump_the_Evil_Left
