On Wednesday, Britains Prime Minister Theresa May appointed a government minister for loneliness, in an attempt to tackle one of societys biggest health concerns.
For far too many people, loneliness is the sad reality of modern life, May said in a statement. I want to confront this challenge for our society and for all of us to take action to address the loneliness endured by the elderly, by carers, by those who have lost loved ones people who have no one to talk to or share their thoughts and experiences with.
Tracey Crouch, now the undersecretary for sport and civil society in the culture ministry, will be in charge of developing strategies to address loneliness. Britains Office for National Statistics has also been tasked with finding a way to measure this condition.

When it comes to life expectancy, the long-term health effects of loneliness are equivalent to smoking 15 cigarettes a day.

Its next door to the Ministry of Silly Walks.
Oh how I would love to be alone and isolated for a decade or so. I need the time off to get away from people with solutions to made up problems like that.
Her office’s symbol is the Maytag repairman.
The Muzak plays Elvis singing “Only The Lonely” alternating with the Beatles’ “Eleanor Rigby” all day.
Over the last decades Brits have surrendered all ‘life’ decisions to the government: Health, housing, etc., So, since the socialist govt. caused dependency - let it fix the problem of senior isolation.
Church attendance is practically non-existent - the Christian practice of ‘helping thy neighbor’ is passe. Fewer formal marriages are probably also reducing the extended family for care of elderly relatives.
Taxation and Regulation by Govt. are more destructive to the human soul than foreign enemies.

We’re from the gummit. We’re here to keep you company.
*****Were from the gummit. Were here to keep you company.***
OR
“ We’re from the gubmint and we are here to scoop you up, put you in a group home and take your house for a family of Islamic immigrants”.
Why of cuss. Solve two problems with one motion.
You’re never lonely when the government is “in da house”.
There are large chunks of time in any given day/week/month that I would wish to be left alone. Alas Im surrounded much of the time.
They’re already confiscating private homes to house muzzies in Germanistan and Swedenistan.
They’ll be doing the same in Britainistan next. Madness!!
These are some of the saddest words I’ve ever read:
“Eleanor Rigby, died in the church
And was buried along with her name
Nobody came”
Even sadder:
“Father McKenzie, wiping the dirt from his hands as he walks from the grave,
“No one was saved.
Always thought there was a hope in the song that Eleanor and the Vicar would somehow find each other. But that was in 1966 and the Beatles’ tunes were no longer lighthearted paeans to young love.
