Notice too that as much as Chinese government wants a closed society, in practice the activities of merchants make it difficult. China has churches for foreigners that don’t have to carry on with a secularized state message, but keeping the message entirely out of larger China is a vain pursuit. Religious themed items produced in China have a similar effect. China is being influenced by the very west that its doctrinaire communists hope to conquer. I say rotsa ruck to those doctrinaires unless the west itself completely forgets Christianity. Which Donald Trump isn’t permitting the USA to easily do. A God is always more powerful than no God, when the situations meet.
Actually I think you are not correct there.
China controls, I believe, what is taught in churches there.
Vietnam for example, does not control what is taught in churches here.
China is four or five times the population of America. We are being very foolish, to allow it to grow so large economically, compared with America. So quickly.
In my view. China is not the same as America.
Why are we treating it, as if it is?
(I know the answer to that question, but I will let you dwell on it - I won’t respond to my own question)
Trump (seemed) to get that.
But even Trump isn’t responding yet. And China just continues to grow, and grow, and grow.
And grow.
