Exactly right! That’s why I love these stories.

Spread the rumors and follow through on ‘some’ raids.

I think that is necessary for the safety of law enforcement to avoid unnecessary injuries.

Is there an attorney out there, civil attorney, who can answer this?

Let say my wife and daughter are raped and murdered by an illegal alien in a sanctuary city.

Let’s say the guy was arrested just hours before by local police, but was released before ICE could show up to pick him up.

Let’s say that he committed the crime against my family within two hours after his release by the local police.

Let’s say that the illegal alien was re arrested, and it’s found that he’s been in the country and expelled like 5 times.

Question: Would I not have a cut and dry civil case against the sanctuary city, and maybe even the officials who voted to defy federal laws?

The various communities from the Bay area proper all the way to Sacramento and beyond are thick with illegals. Apartment complex management and employees are barred from “asking questions”. The feds have a Herculean task in front of them if they're serious about it.

Any californian politician supporting illegal immigrant sanctuary should be arrested. Starting with moonbeam brown.

President Trump always gives the malfeasors (here, a polite term for “criminals engaged in crime and flaunting it”) an opportunity to come forward, walk down the aisle and repent.
When they don’t, well—let’s hope this is the hammer of Thor descending on their scofflaw heads.

"Go after the employers. Any business or company employing illegal immigrants should be severely financially penalized."

I've been saying the above for years. Enforce e-verify and increase penalties for those employers who knowingly hire illegals. A big problem with e-verify is the phony I.D. industry. Not sure what the solution is other than more resources to infiltrate and break up those rings or a national I.D. card that I don't want.

How about our guys arrest the mayors city managers, and city council members who allow this travesty? Now, THAT would send the right message.

For this to be effective, the process of prosecuting the employers will have to be extensively streamlined. Historically, it has taken years for a case against an employer to proceed from initial audit to court. One of the biggest roadblocks is to be found in the Immigration attorneys themselves. Some don’t want to go to court; others are obsessive about piling on evidence even if it takes years. One in the past even assigned an agent to do a financial audit of a company to determine how big a fine it could afford, and this was after a decision had been arrived at against the employer.

"I want to see a squadron of Marines marching in double time up to the city hall to arrest the leaders of this junta."

I don't want to see regular military enforcing civilian law, which is illegal anyway due to the Posse Comitatus Act. However, there are some exceptions providing Congress authorizes such. I don't believe arresting State or local officials for breaking Fedgov immigration laws would justify Congressional action. Besides, it would take too long and make a mess.

All you really need is armed ICE and Marshall Service if needed for back up, depending on size of the operation/arrests. If the officials call out their Sheriffs to make a fight, then maybe the State National Guard. It would never go that far in Blue jurisdictions that coddle illegals...they don't have the cojones.

The liberal/socialists would probably go willingly to jail and fight it in the courts with a martyr smile on their face. That said, arrest some and make an example of them. Make them spend their own money to drag it through criminal court.

I've read that a couple of them are already backing down because they don't want to lose their share of Fedgov tax dollars returned.
