Trump asks Supreme Court to overturn DACA program
The Washington Times ^ | January 16, 2018 | Stephen Dinan

The Justice Department asked the Supreme Court Tuesday to overturn this month’s stunning ruling by a lower court that found the Obama-era DACA deportation amnesty legal — yet also ruled the Trump administration’s effort to phase out the program was illegal.

If the Supreme Court says No , they’ll be responsible for a massive invasion from everywhere

Maybe tell the Rats that the compromise will be that for every dollar spent on DACA critters, an equal dollar will be spent to fund the education of the children of our military.

Anyhow, wasn’t DACA an EO signed by Hussein on a whim? If it’s not “a thing”, then why do the Supremes need to be involved?

He’s such a dingleberry. He’s spent the last three months trying to get a legislative fix for DACA passed, and that after having written the XO eliminating DACA.

That's one way of looking at it. Another way of looking at it is he gave the Dems their chance, and they fell into his trap by demonstrating that they had no interest in honest negotiations. So now the end of DACA will be the Dems fault.

I thought Trump should’ve ended DACA on Day 1, but now I think he was way out in front of me. He probably realized the RINOs would not build the wall by themselves, but now he has maneuvered the Democrats and the RINOs into building the wall or shut down the government. All he has to do now is to keep his nerve.

Xavier Becerra must be pissed!

The injunction that reinstated DACA was issued by a federal judge in a series of lawsuits being led by Becerra.

Becerra has filed 24 lawsuits on behalf of California’s progressive Democrats against the Trump administration regarding 17 different subject matters over the last 11 months.

“Not sure why Trump is slow-boating the overturn of DACA.”

Ditto here. Very disappointing.

Should be a slam dunk.
It was never a law so how do you enforce a “suggestion”

*BINGO*

You're one of the few around here who gets it. It's a bargaining chip and Trump is wielding it like a club. Why sign it away with another EO - he would only get shredded for it, get nothing in return and lose leverage. The globalist goose-steppers have hobbled themselves in wanting it like Gollum wanted the Precious, so Trump is going to use the situation to advantage.

Trump has more than enough fat in the other budgets that he can justify paying for the wall with Defense, NSA,.... as the term term payments for the wall will save a lot of long term giveaways.

DHS says they are not legally able to continue it after March 5th anyway and have no plans to continue it. That judge can suck eggs.

If I remember, DACA wasn’t an EO. It was a memo to department heads not to enforce immigration laws. I don’t believe there is an executive order in the traditional sense that Obama signed.

“Agreed. Not sure why Trump is slow-boating the overturn of DACA. “

He is running out the clock. DACA sunsets March 5. The budget is due on Friday. Rats aren’t getting any concessions for a budget deal. This is working out very nicely for Mr. Trump.

Stunning? It’s only stunning to people who actually believe Obama appiintiees care about the law. Everyone else this is perfectly predictable. Obama appointed dictators not judges, people who felt themselfs entitled to rule and push forward their own ‘law’

Yep then elect him to the Senate or House.
