I’ve laid off Ted.
He should do the same for Trump.
Some of us remember the merciless way the Cruzer's endlessly and mercilessly attacked us for merely supporting Trump.
By the time their last attacks faded away, and without a single apology to us for simply supporting the winning candidate, those memories are in-bedded in my DNA.
Cruz seemed to bring out the very worst in Freepers.

If you could do that, the story would be different.
But you can’t, and we have to live with reality.
Cruz should just stop at ““I wasn’t in the meeting with the president so I don’t know what he did or didn’t say.” and that’s that.
But he can’t help self-promoting himself.
By adding all that other nonsense that nobody cared (about Heidi and his brother-in-law, etc.), no wonder it is very hard for people to like him.

When did that happen? I’ve still got one accusing me routinely of “Trump worship.”
TCruz better concentrate on his reelection, or there won’t be any reelection with the Democrats out-organizing the Republicans in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, El Paso, Corpus Christi, and Laredo and the Rio Grande Valley. How long can Fort Worth, Lubbock, Amarillo, Midland-Odessa, San Angelo, Tyler, Longview, Nacogdoches stop the liberal onslaught?
They’re always restless, waiting for darling Ted to insult in a calculated way which allows him an out if pressed on it.
We’ve got one guy who tells it like it is and takes his lumps like a man.
We’ve got another who canives, and deflects.
Some folks can’t wait to vote in this back stabbing wanna-be again, so he can take pot shots at folks like Moore and Trump from the Senate for six more years.
That may very well cost us more good Conservatives over those six years. Eh, who needs ‘em? We’ve got Saint Ted, the pride of Canada and Cuba on our team.

You almost wonder how many focus groups he employed to come up with those comments.
It was a crude phrase, and I’d prefer that he spoke a bit more nicely.
However, his point was absolutely correct.

He was so interested in offering contrasting goals to make himself look good, he both insulted the man standing behind him and Trump at the same time.

The mayor could easily have thought he was referencing him with his comments, a clear insult.
As for Trump, it sounded as if Cruz was saying Trump got into the gutter, something I never do.
The guy is not presidential by any stretch of the imagination.
