Board unanimously decides "it is time for a new season of leadership."
Amid widespread concerns over the direction of Moody Bible Institute (MBI), the historic Chicago school announced today that President J. Paul Nyquist and Chief Operating Officer Steve Mogck have resigned, while Provost Junias Venugopal has retired.
Let there be no mistake that the Board of Trustees holds these three men in high regard for their ethical, moral, and spiritual leadership, stated Randy Fairfax, chair of the board of trustees...

After hosting Moodys weekly program Up for Debate for more than a decade, Roys posted that:
I received an email from Greg Thornton, MBI senior vice president of media, informing me that after consulting with the Executive Committee of the Moody Board, leadership is terminating your employment. No reason was given and I was informed that my boss, Program Manager Dan Craig would be at my house in two-and-a-half hours to pick up my laptop.
An MBI spokesman confirmed that Roys was no longer employed with Moody Radio.
Julie Roys did a GREAT JOB with her show “Up for Debate”. One of the best things on Moody Radio. I pray she finds a way to give her talents in the service of the Lord somewhere.
oh wow! This is the first I heard this. Praying for God’s guidance in every aspect of this change!
I really have not been in the loop concerning Moody Bible Institute. What is all this about?
Moody’s wikipedia entry says almost nothing, but I know this is a very significant college. Don’t know much else about it, but I certainly know the name.
Is this a good college? Is it doing the right thing? Or is it a liberal college in a death spiral, killing the messengers?
The article was vague — pleasant statements saying little. Any issues of Biblical doctrine? Any issues involving imprudent use or solicitation of funds?
My son is a graduate of Moody. It is rock solid conservative unless they have changed a WHOLE lot recently. They still feel badly about Bart Ehrmann.
She DID do a great job. I wonder what is going on? Saturday morning Moody Radio is my favorite. Until Roys show is over at least.

See link above.
That is very helpful. Sad sad sad. Trustees want to be loyal and faithful. Sadly leaders misplace their loyalty to God with loyalty to men and believe they are obeying God. From Julie Roys style I believe she was rooting out the truth. Truth is light and should be allowing to shine.
I can’t remember but something Paul Nyquist did or said in the past alarmed me. His tone of voice sounded rather milquetoast but I can’t remember what the issue was. I listen to Moody radio many days. LOVE Janet Parshall. If Moody leaders aren’t faithful to the truth they either need to change or close up shop.
This has a bit more detail. It appears that she was fired before the resignations of Nyquist et al.?
