The first community organizer to become president has managed to anger community groups so much with his planned personal monument, aka a "presidential center," that part of the plan was just scrapped.
Lolly Bowean of the Chicago Tribune reports:
Bowing to community pressure, the Obama Foundation has scrapped its plan for an above-ground parking garage and will instead build an underground facility below the presidential center in Jackson Park, officials said late Monday.
The original plan would have grabbed a treasured part of Chicago's park system, the Midway (site of Chicago's World's Fair), for a two-story garage. The group Save the Midway sprang up to protect the historic public park land from a private developer (the Obama Foundation) appropriating the land for a private purpose (the Obama Center will not be part of the National Archives System)

I’ve been following this. Seems like even Chicago does not want anything to do with Obama or some monument to his regime.
Move the library to Hawaii.
The thing looks like a bird’s nest, but one that is mostly all parking and hotdog lounges with rest rooms, and a few computer screens full of the marvels of eight years of Bark and Moose.
Why they bothered I don’t know. Even the Obama’s are uninterested in the damn thing, preferring to get to the good stuff— the Obama’s $$$$ Foundation development.

This will be the main hub of the many remnants of ACORN that will have set up shop there. Teaching how to scam the Gubmint Gimme system and finding new and creative ways to rig elections

Don’t let ‘em fool ya’. El Rushbo calls Slick Willy’s self-aggrandizing monument, the “Clinton Library and Massage Parlor”. This thing in Chi-town should be called the “Soetoro Parking Garage and Bath House”. IMHO.
