Very sad.
Very true.
I feel sorry for the majority of them who felt they “had” to be feminists to be “correct”. Their hearts were never really in it, in my opinion, they were just determined to “do the right thing”.
And I say that knowing several of these unfortunate creatures personally.
Like lower party officials in a communist regime, giving their whole life to pointless drudgery in the name of a wondrous utopian ideal.
PS: If I posted this story on Fakebook, even if I didn’t add the comments I added here, the very people I call “unfortunate creatures” (even the ones I know personally, even the ones in my extended family) would savage me with hateful attacks.
Forever called spinsters? We are acquainted with several lib females who are constantly lamenting the lack of “good men” out there. I mentioned to Mrs. rktman that maybe, just maybe, it’s the type of “men” they hang out with that’s the problem. Being who they are, it’s pointless to mention it.
I’m 61. Some years ago I was talking with a female friend who was in her late fifties, never was a ‘’feminist’’ but had friends who were. She told me to a woman they all regretted either never marrying, getting divorced and more then a few regretted having had abortions. They were truly heartbroken for having destroyed a life, a life they could have created but instead destroyed it. Feminism isn’t about ‘’empowering’’ women. It’s about destroying them.
“...giving their whole life to pointless drudgery in the name of a wondrous utopian ideal.”
You said it. That whole essay has to be the most depressing thing I’ve read in a long time. Makes one want to go eat their gun.
