About 18 years ago Robert Greene wrote a book called The 48 Laws of Power. Steve should have read a little bit of it because he tried to violate rule #1 In the example given it the book it didn't work out well for the rule breaker and it won't work out well for Steve either.

Perhaps Steve Bannon has a major problem.

He's already lost. I don't see him returning. I'd leave him alone.

Man, Peter King was right. Jack Daniels did a beat-down on Bannon.

I rather agree with those that say this author is a lying, misquoting scumbag who, not only a former editor of his castigated , and most everyone he's quoted elsewhere say he lied, but he, himself, even admits that he mis-quotes and fabricates to write what he thinks people WANT to hear and what HE thinks will make better copy and to hell with the truth.

and the media, of course is running with it because it gives them fuel. I expect this from them.

What bothers me the most is that most all of YOU and regular conservatives are NOW believing anything they write - carrying their water - without even a smidgen of research into this puffed up blowhard, Wolff.

I'm ashamed of the lot of you....helping him and the media get Bannon out of their hair. Bannon’s answer to Trump's fury was very supportive of the President.

I WAS also disappointed that Pres. Trump reacted so soon, without a little looking into it. I will also be deeply disappointed if Breitbart fires him. Because, it they do,you all and the media will have won a big battle tactic against Pres Trump, and they will use it again - and again.

I love these Freepers who loved Bannon last week. Now he’s terrible. They loved Ted Cruz when Trump was his best friend, then he was worse than Hillary. Scaramoucci was great, then terrible. Etc. Etc. Contorting themselves like Democrats.

Wolff’s book’s disparaging references to DJT are prominently featured at Breitbart this morning. Too bad; it looks as though they’re committed to stay with Bannon.

As for myself, I have supported Donald Trump since June 2015 when he came down the escalator. At that time I said “why not?” No other candidate inspired me at the time. I would have to say I agreed a lot with what Rand Paul had and has to say regarding personal liberty and privacy. Btu it was with Trump I cast my lot and my vote. So far I have not been disapppointed. The Mrs is in the same boat but there are times she winces at his tweets.

That all said...anything else I regards as background noise. This book, Bannon and all is just that, backgrounds noise constructed to get everyone all riled up. I tell my darling wife to turn off the news and forget what you hear...its all ginned up to keep everyone in a constant state of emotion.

There are things that concern me and it is within my perview. Let me explain, years ago when I proposed to the Mrs, our duties were delineated. I was to worry specificallh about world affairs, and places like North Korea (which was mentioned) while she worried about what I wear, what I do and where I go, etc...sounded pretty fair deal to me.

Anyway, what concerns me is the ratcheting game between the President and Kim Jung Un. Now the CDC is going to start telling the country on how to prepare themselves for nuclear war. I am not very concerned, (yet), as I believe this to be part of the “game.” But...one does have to wonder how much one has to concern themselves. I live in a rural area pretty much, but travel much of the year for our business. The last thing I want is to be stuck between Yuma and Needles when the EMP hits. Lots of desert out there.

As for Bannon...he is done. I wrote about this earlier. No one will hire him as kingmaker now because they don’t know if six or nine months down the road he will spill everything to the press or another author. He might be a brilliant man, but he could not understand that while Ivanka and Jared might be “Dumb” or at least don’t see things the way he sees them, they are the family and family comes first. Doesn’t mean that Trump will follow Jarvanka, but he will listen to them.

Trump is not an idealogue. He is a pragmatist. We all knew this here on FR and talked and argued at great lenght about it. We may not get everything we want with this President, but I do blieve we will get what we need. (Where have we heard that before...hmmmm?) Friday night rant off...

I know I say in my profile that I don’t talk politics much, and I don’t. All I want to say is that I’m very surprised that the author was given such access. It’s possible that he said he wasn’t going to use some of the things they told him, which I don’t know that those who talked to him can claim and how successful they’d be filing a lawsuit, but again, can’t believe they talked to the guy.

Thought I was following the election fairly well. Was talking to some kinda independents while visiting Cali about a month before the election. One person said he was willing to give Trump a chance until he found out he hired Bannon. I had no idea who this Bannon was. Oh well. Now he is gone.

.... I would like to know when these so called interviews that Wolff conducted took place. Heck .... a few things mentioned by Bannon actually were held to be true .... Such as the "Money Laundering" charge against Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort. I bet a few of Bannon's statements may have also been taken out of context just as so many of Trump's statements are misconstrued by the Media crazies suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome out there. What's to say that Wolff isn't one of those Idiots?

.... I'm no big fan of Bannon .... but I would like to wait before I pass judgement before all of the dust settles and the true facts are known.
