In the summer of 1990, I went to Hanau as a cadet for CTLT. Upon arrival in-country, our very first safety brief included a warning about the Turks.
Back when David Dinkins was mayor of NYC we had a new word: “Whirlpooling” - A group of feral males at city pools would surround a female and starts circling her (creating a mini current); then they would take turns moving in and grope/penetrate her with impunity.
That was the daytime recreation; at night we had “wilding” - where feral males would gallop through Central Park at night, robbing and raping any whites encountered. The famous Central Park Jogger case was one of these incidents; the same savages had messed with other people the same night.

With women uneducated in the ways of islamic men, I look for a spate of “honor” type killings in the future.

My wife bought the movie “Not Without My Daughter” and watched it many times.
Its pretty amazing Betty made it out of Iran herself, much less with her daughter.

Mrs. Sooner was recently at a Christmas Reception for people, mostly women, in the same profession as herself, and someone mentioned a need for someone with someone who has a certain specialty: "I suggest you call Diana A."
The others kinda looked at each other and then back at Mrs. Sooner and one of them said, "You haven't heard about Diana? She had to pack her suitcase and the kids and get out of town... she's probably at her parent's house down in Texas."
Yep. A guy who speaks fluent English, is socially literate, is actually well known in certain social circles, and has a college degree too. A guy whom I had frankly estimated as one of the temperate and uh... yes, moderate ones.

My friend dated a Saudi. They married, had a baby and moved to Saudi Arabia. The abuse was so bad her parents paid beaucoup bucks to smuggle her and the baby back to the U.S. via Ireland.
Once we intentionally served the Saudi some pork hidden in a casserole. He was furious with us because we compromised his immortal soul.
Well, no kidding. Good grief.

Sorry your friend had to endure that. At least her family had the means to get her out with her child.
I can’t imagine the torment of women who go through that and lose their children in the process.
Hopefully she is now wiser and is healing from the abuse.
I had a friend who worked in SA for several years when they were putting up their cell towers, many years ago.
He used to tell us about the life over there and how their society was tiered.
On top was the Royal Saudi family. The king and his immediate family.
Next were the royal cousins and nephews. He said you couldn’t throw a rock without hitting some form of prince.
Every government department was headed by a major prince.
They, in turn, had a minor prince heading each branch of the department.
The minor princes had cousins heading each sub branch.
See how this is working?
Next were the highly educated who actually did the work of keeping things running.
They were usually cousins once or twice removed from the actual royalty.
Next came every one else. The vast majority of the people were on the lowest rung or tier. Poor or beholden to some family member for their jobs.
Next came all foreigners.
Americans, British, French or whatever it didn’t matter. The lowest were the ones brought in as maids and menial labor.
My friend ran crews building the cell towers. He reported to a supervisor who dealt directly with the Saudis.
The supervisor could never get anything done with the Saudis so one day he sent my friend to fill in for him.
He had a 9 a.m. appointment with the Saudi. He sat in the office all day without seeing the official. He made an appointment for the following morning.
Again he sat in the office all day.
Thirty minutes before the office closed he saw who he needed to.
A day or two later he was talking to a British acquaintance about the delay.
The Brit set him straight.
“First old boy, ask how his day is going. Listen and take his side always. Next ask about his health. Then ask about his family, always remembering to side with him. Let him know his health and welfare are your highest concerns. Do that old boy and you will gradually get into his good graces and your job will be a snap.”
My friend took his advice and did gradually earn a degree of good will from the Saudis.
He ended up with a promotion and a huge pay raise because he was the only person who could get something done.
He called them proud peacocks who needed continuous attention.
He said that attitude ran through Saudi society from top to bottom.
He had some interesting things to say about other ME countries he worked in.
According to him the wealthy used Dubai as their playground. Every form of debauchery known to man was available for a price.
