On his first day of kindergarten, my son came home and told me that his classmates should be punished because all they did was run around and play instead of listen to the teacher. As he grew up, he played basketball at the Jewish Community Center, was a farmer in the musical “Oklahoma!” and celebrated his Bar Mitzvah at age 13. In the summer, he can be found at a grill, making hot dogs and hamburgers for kids in the neighborhood.
But my son is a teenager and he is black. So he must be in a gang. At least that’s what a white woman wrote in the comment section of a newspaper article that mentioned him. And unfortunately, that’s how Chicago police officers see my son and so many other children like him.
It doesn’t matter that he’s from a good home, with loving parents; all that matters to the white world is his complexion. They don’t see him as my baby boy. They see him as a thug.
He and I constantly fear that one day the Chicago Police Department is going to put him in its gang database, which contains names of 130,000 people suspected of being gang members. If they put your name in it, they aren’t required to notify you. And then if you get stopped by a police officer, there’s a good chance you’re going to end up in jail because it’s so easy for the police to come up with a reason to arrest you. Being in the database can even make it hard to get jobs or professional licenses because employers might find out when they run background checks.

Well, when overwhelming numbers are, it likely may be a safe assumption.
Especially when you see them doing stupid “I’m having a seizure” hand signals to each other when passing on the street.
Who wants to live long enough to finish their 20? Perhaps when the left quits creating statistics to divide us, there will be less division.

Just do away with the police in Chicago. Let people have the kind of society they think about in their fantastical ideology and progressive dreams.

The black community needs to see itself as the problem and they need to fix themselves.
So far, their efforts seem pretty mis-directed.
So their gang crimes unit cooperates with ICE despite Chicago being supposedly a “Sanctuary City”. Lets hope that other Chicago and Illinois law enforcement agencies also engage in such “under the radar” behavior.

They love the nanny-state. They love socialism. They love large, activist government. They also pursue their fantasy-land, ideological nations of race and social justice
Yet they are surprised when the massive nanny-state tramples them. They are surprised to learn that races do not share the same values. They can’t process contradictions at all
So the simple, reactionary response is just to blame “whites” and the patriarchy, because its a slogan which can never be proven or disproven. Its like everyone just blaming “satan” for something going wrong.

Thus 51% are non white police officers. So I guess if the entire police department feels that way, they probably have good reason, and it is not racism.
If eighty or ninety percent of a particular group wants to kill you, you can’t treat them all as if they are the one who won’t kill you. That would be crazy...and lethal.
I know a black who is a really decent standup guy. We were going out to grab a bite and he slipped into a sport coat. I asked why and he said, “The better I dress the less hassle I get.” He also said he was unfailingly polite with, “Yes, sir. No, sir.” Unbeknownst to him, his brother had stolen his identity and used it in an arrest. When my buddy got stopped he came back with outstanding warrants. But because he was well dressed and very polite, the cop gave him the opportunity to show up and prove who was who. I was so impressed, both by the cop and my buddy.
“Just do away with the police in Chicago.”
If that ever happens then I give it maybe sixty days before most crime ceases to exist in Chicago.
Without the Chicago PD around the people of Chicago...
* Won’t have anyone stopping them from exercising their right to keep and to bear arms.
* Won’t have anyone around to stop them from defending their families, their homes, their businesses, and themselves from criminals.
* Will be able to kill on sight the gang members who terrorize their neighborhoods.
* Will also be able to kill on sight those bureaucrats and politicians who conspire to deprive law abiding citizens of the means of self-defense.
That said, are you sure it would be a bad thing to get rid of the Chicago PD?
I suspect geography has as much to do with it as ethnicity. I would not try to raise a black child in Chicago, and police attitudes would be at the bottom of my list of reasons.
